http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2018/09/28/facebook-says-50-million-user-accounts-affected-by-security-breach.html

Facebook said Friday it discovered a security breach that affects nearly 50 million user accounts. The issue was found by its engineering team on Tuesday afternoon.

"Were taking this incredibly seriously and wanted to let everyone know whats happened and the immediate action weve taken to protect peoples security," the company said in a statement.

"Our investigation is still in its early stages. But its clear that attackers exploited a vulnerability in Facebooks code that impacted 'View As', a feature that lets people see what their own profile looks like to someone else. This allowed them to steal Facebook access tokens which they could then use to take over peoples accounts. Access tokens are the equivalent of digital keys that keep people logged in to Facebook so they dont need to re-enter their password every time they use the app."

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

Are you a fan of AMC's THE WALKING DEAD? I sure as hell hope so, because AMC Networks CEO Josh Sapan recently revealed, while speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference, that the network has over a decade's worth of plans for the zombie horror saga. Some would say that Sapan's daunting comment was a direct response to assure those invested in the long-running program that, despite the show's decline in ratings, AMC has no intention of relinquishing its hold on the undead teats of their flagship series.

The Walking Dead is a universe, Kasdan reminded investors, and we have a plan to manage over the next decade, plus. That plan is a careful plan to respect the world of the fans of that world.

In addition to what Kasdan hoped would be interpreted as an encouraging sentiment, he also reminded those in attendance that THE WALKING DEAD spinoff, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, is a part of that shared-universe, and that the program continues to do well for the network.

Interestingly enough, THE WALKING DEAD is nearing one of the show's biggest turning points yet, as both Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan are in the midst of planning their exits from the show. In essence, Season 9 of THE WALKING DEAD will serve as a reboot for the series, as new players are bound to step into the spotlight after two of its central characters shuffle down a different path.

Season 9 of THE WALKING DEAD, which will welcome a new showrunner in Angela Kang and feature a notable time jump for the series, will star Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Alanna Masterson, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The zombie action continues when the show returns to AMC on October 9th at 9 pm ET/PT.

Are you down for another 10 years plus of AMC's THE WALKING DEAD?

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jfk-airport-emirates-flight-quarantined-amid-reports-of-sick-passengers-today-2018-09-05/

NEW YORK -- The New York City mayor's office says a plane has been quarantined at New York's Kennedy Airport amid reports of numerous ill passengers aboard a flight from Dubai. The Emirates flight landed around 9:10 a.m. Wednesday.

Video from news helicopters showed the jet sitting on the tarmac surrounded by ambulances, emergency vehicles and airport personnel.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m., Emirates Airlines said only 10 passengers from Dubai had taken ill.

"Emirates can confirm that about 10 passengers on board flight EK203 from Dubai to New York were taken ill," the airline said. "On arrival at JFK, as a precaution, they were immediately checked by local health authorities, and those needing medical attention will be attended to. All other passengers will be disembarking shortly. The safety and care of our customers is always our first priority and will not be compromised."

A government source briefed on situation told CBS News correspondent Kris Van Cleave there was no evidence of a security or terror issue. Emirates' home office has told U.S. officials it believes this incident was caused by food poisoning.

However, at least one passenger said that people appeared to be sick before even boarding the plane.

Eric Phillips, a spokesman for Mayor Bill de Blasio, says representatives of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were on the scene.

Phillips tweeted that the flight stopped in Mecca, which is experiencing a flu outbreak, and "early indications point to that as a possibility."

Airline representatives did not immediate respond to an email.

A New York police counterterrorism division tweeted it appeared to be a "medical situation."

http://www.tmz.com/2018/08/24/lifestyles-of-the-rich-and-famous-host-robin-leach-dead-at-76/

"Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" host Robin Leach has died at the age of 76.

Leach had been hospitalized since November after suffering a stroke while in Cabo San Lucas, and passed away Friday morning in Vegas ... according to his colleague John Katsilometes at The Las Vegas Review Journal.

Katsilometes revealed before his death, Leach was in hospice care after suffering a second stroke on Monday. A family from his statement said, "Despite the past 10 months, what a beautiful life he had. Our Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and friend Robin Leach passed away peacefully last night."

The family continued, "Everyones support and love over the past, almost one year, has been incredible and we are so grateful. Memorial arrangements to follow. With love, Steven, Gregg and Rick Leach."

Leach -- a veteran journalist -- launched and hosted "Lifestyles" in 1984 and it aired until 1995. The show gave viewers a sneak peek into the lives of wealthy entertainers, athletes and CEOs.

The show's success came on the heels of a burst of interest in the lives of the filthy rich back in the 80's. Even years after the show ended, Leach remained a figure head in the world of wealth and luxury. Despite his ritzy reputation, Leach always insisted he was a normal and down-to-earth dude.

Robin moved to Las Vegas in 1999 and spent most of his final years as a journalist working for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and for the Las Vegas Sun covering celeb events on the strip.

Leach started his career earning just $6 an hour at The Harrow Observer. From there, he became the youngest editor at just 18 years old at London's Daily Mail and later worked for the New York Daily News and People magazine.

In a 2011 interview with The Las Vegas Sun, Leach said, "I wanted no other jobs than to work in news papers."

Leach's mindset clearly changed when he broke into TV on CNN's "People Tonight" in 1980 and followed up in playing a major part in launching "Entertainment Tonight."

In 2007, Leach was the host of "The Surreal Life: Fame Games" on VH1. The show featured 10 celebs -- including Vanilla Ice, Chyna, Verne Troyer, Ron Jeremy and Brigitte Nielsen -- competing in a series of games for $100,000.

He most recently appeared on an episode of VICELAND's "Most Expensivest" where 2 Chainz jetted to Vegas to sip champagne and eat caviar with Robin.

Leach was to turn 77 Wednesday.

RIP

http://www.tmz.com/2018/08/17/korn-jonathan-davis-wife-deven-dead-dies-drugs/

The wife of the lead singer of Korn has died Friday ... and it comes on the heels of a request for a domestic violence restraining order and major drug issues ... TMZ has learned.

Deven Davis was the estranged wife of Jonathan Davis. Deven was a former porn star who married Jonathan in 2004. They had 2 kids together.

Jonathan filed for divorce in October 2016, citing irreconcilable differences. Jonathan filed for a domestic violence restraining order today -- August 17, 2018. The judge issued a temporary order blocking any child custody or visitation by Deven. The restraining order also prohibits her from having contact with the family dog, Chaos.

Our sources say Deven was unaware Jonathan filed the restraining order ... she had not even been served.

Jonathan alleged in the docs Deven was deep into drugs -- something she had struggled with for more than 20 years. He alleged her drug use was causing emotional harm to the kids through neglect. He says in his court declaration she has been dependent on both prescription and illegal narcotics. She'd been to rehab 6 times and "is constantly under the influence of the nitrous oxide, cocaine and Norco."

Jonathan claimed she had a drug dealer boyfriend who was recently passed out on her living room couch when he brought the kids to her house. Jonathan says he found a heroin pipe and cocaine floating in the toilet bowl and found Deven passed out on the floor upstairs.

And there's this ... Jonathan claims when she binged on drugs she would "routinely bring home unsavory characters, including strangers. Some of these people are random fans of my music who she allows to come into the house, go into the master bedroom closet and try on my clothes."

According to the docs, Deven had been in a sober home but went AWOL last Friday and hadn't been seen for a week.

At this point we do not know the cause of death.

Story developing ...

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/jerry-seinfeld-comments-on-james-gunn-rosanne-disney-debate-530

Legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld recently sat down with The New York Times to discuss life after Seinfeld, the climate of today's stand-up comedy atmosphere, and the firing of James Gunn for a series of old Twitter jokes. As you're likely to be aware, the firing of James Gunn as director of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 has been a hot topic of conversation in La La Land as of late, with many celebrities (including the cast of the film) calling for Gunn to be reinstated as a primary contributor to the space-faring sequel. In case you've missed it, Gunn was promptly fired by Disney from the upcoming Marvel film after a series of reprehensible tweets posted by the filmmaker between the years 2008-2011 were unearthed as part of a targeted smear campaign. So far, Disney has yet to welcome Gunn back into the fold, nor have they crowned a new director to helm the adventure.

Meanwhile, when speaking with NYT, Seinfeld was asked if he has an opinion on Gunn's firing. The "What's the deal with ..." comedian then responded by saying, "I didnt read the jokes, but if theyre jokes, it doesnt matter. I guess Roseanne Barr thought she was being funny, but it wasnt funny and if its offensive and not funny, then its not a joke. But any comedian that doesnt understand that dynamic, youre finished anyway."

Leave it to Jerry Seinfeld to make the line in the sand real clear, eh? I suppose we could ride the "what's funny and isn't funny" merry-go-round into infinity and never truly arrive at a place where everyone will be in agreement. After all, humor is a subjective beast, though I'm not entirely sure that applies to blatant comments related to pedophilia and other totally taboo matters. For me, Gunn's jokes were not funny, especially when they were delivered with the interest of being deliberately controversial.

As the interview continued, Seinfeld explained that in one way or another that he doesn't consider jokes to be "real". If that sounds confusing, perhaps you'd like to read his comment for yourself?

People assume that when you say something that you believe it. Its purely comedic invention. You know, I do this whole bit about Pop-Tarts and how much I love them. I dont love Pop-Tarts. Its just funny. Its funny to say it, so I say it.

Lastly, the comedian who loves to drive fancy cars and drink coffee commented on why he refrains from sharing jokes on Twitter, and why it's a good rule of thumb.

"I dont hear the laugh. Why waste my time? Its a horrible performing interface. I cant think of a worse one. I always think about people that write books. What a horrible feeling it must be to have poured your soul into a book over a number of years and somebody comes up to you and goes, I loved your book, and they walk away, and you have no idea what worked and what didnt. That to me is hell. Thats my definition of hell."

http://www.tmz.com/2018/08/14/demi-lovato-overdose-oxycodone-pills-fentanyl-laced/

Demi Lovato's near-death OD began at 4 AM July 24, when she texted a drug dealer to come to her house ... sources tell TMZ.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us, Demi had been at a party in WeHo following a birthday celebration at Saddle Ranch on the Sunset Strip. After the drug dealer got the text, he came to her house and we're told the 2 freebased Oxycodone on tin foil.

Our sources say unbeknownst to Demi, the drug dealer had a bad habit of buying dirty drugs from Mexico ... and the batch in question appeared to be laced with fentanyl -- that's the same drug that killed Prince and Lil Peep.

We're told the dealer fled her home when he noticed she was in bed, breathing very heavily.
Our sources say Demi had been using the dealer since April.

TMZ broke the story ... someone on Demi's staff found her around 11:30 AM on the 24th. She had to be revived with Narcan.

Demi was hospitalized for 2 weeks and then went to an out-of-state rehab facility. Last Friday, she and her mom flew to Chicago for a few days where she received treatment from a renowned addiction specialist.

http://www.tmz.com/2018/08/12/lindsay-lohan-apologizes-for-controversial-metoo-comments-interview-look-weak/

Lindsay Lohan is backtracking on some eyebrow-raising comments she made about #MeToo -- calling women who speak out as looking "weak" -- and is setting the record straight.

LiLo issued a statement Sunday apologizing for her remarks and any harm inflicted. She says ... "The quote solely related to my hope that a handful of false testimonies out of a tsunami of heroic voices do not serve to dilute the importance of the #MeToo movement, and all of us who champion it."

She continues ... "However, I have since learned how statements like mine are seen as hurtful, which was never my intent. Im sorry for any pain I may have caused."

The original comment came out recently in a Times interview, in which she criticized some women for coming out with their stories of sexual abuse way after the fact -- rather than address it in the moment -- and added speaking out now made strong women "look weak."

She's clearing that up now though, insisting she has "the utmost respect and admiration for the women brave enough to come forward and speak out about their experiences."
