I mean doesn't fantasy exist as a concept to explore the complexity of problematic natures of humanity? Like if you're seeing racist concepts in fantasy media, isn't that the genre working as intended?

I mean it's a card game so it's not like the lore is important or deep (or is it? I legit don't know anything about MtG so I don't really belong in the topic) but things like crusades, slavery, shadow racist clans are not really something you would cut from say, a fantasy novel, right?

Like I've been playing DnD a lot recently (same company) and the entirety of the rule book is based on completely racist concepts and ways of looking at the world. Like even so far to say "hey if you're playing this race, you're expected to be evil" That's an example of the actual rulebook having problematic thinking and it would be understandable to change it. But it doesn't really make sense to say "oh this isn't a society built on slavers anymore" because thats more of a ban on exploring the thought.

Again this seems like it's a card game so like I can't see it being a big deal one way or another whether they keep or leave the cards in question.

I bought the extra characters, the game was good so I didn't mind buying the dlc. The extra characters are cute and have some supports that are cute (plus they get some semi-broken skills)

also I think there's a bulk purchase of all the overclasses thats affordable IIRC (I've never actually been able to grind enough to make the overclasses worth it)

The season pass is ridiculous but honestly it does seem like they tried to make it worth it and they learned from their mistakes and didn't do it again so I don't mind

I would say it doesnt count as companion if 90 percent of gameplay shown shows there's no companions.

I mean the story and voice acting was bad, but it wasn't "tales bad"

Zestria was honestly painful every moment I put into it. It was tedious to an absurb degree, none of the characters were likable, and the battle system was the worst in the series.

Beseria is great, probably because its literally atlas shrugged the video game.

I thought it was really well done, but only because my expectations were very low. In the first 4 days I just took the pictures, filled the back wall with cute clocks and got the furniture just because I figured I'm catalogue them

but I love the retail theme, was genuinely surprised at how good everything looked when it was customized, and then the part where each villager has their own personal wedding attire blew me away it was so cute.
