the 4* pool as it is is kinda great for a late comer like me who wants to +10 weird favorites and doesn't care about stats

but for anyone who already did all that, it must just be absolute hell, even with the bonus adds they're putting in it's still just the same characters over and over.

It would be cool if they added enough characters that they could split the pool into regions and themes based on whatever banner you pull off of. They could also add gen 1 seasonals to the 4 pool this way instead of running five banners, which would be fine. It's not like Summer Xander deserves to be 5 star locked.

Opoona is really the height of "amatuer game on a shoestring budget" games. Even though the entire game is rough around the edges you can tell the world is one that a lot of time and love was poured into. Little town hero is almost the complete opposite, despite the game taking place entirely in one tiny town, almost none of the characters are named (there are identical "boy"s that litter the street) the town isnt thought out in any meaningful way and battles are almost designed to simply waste your time (Opoona had a timer in the top that made sure all battles last less than 30 seconds)

it kinda feels like a small team unity tech demo for a battle system that hasn't been fully fleshed out yet.

The part about Sylvain that really got to me was his self awareness that his charm and intelligence would ultimately lead to nothing but harm later in life.

Much like Edelgard isnt a good character because shes a "good" character. His character isn't cool because he's got a nasty exterior but deep down theres good inside. He's a really compelling character because he is a tormented person who acts like garbage and just deals with his flaws in his own way. Unlike Zelos who has every flaw explained away by plot or monolouge, Sylvain is just garbage and then at the end hes a little less garbage. He's a really good flawed character.

You could probably stop them by giving them an environment to be upfront and honest about what they're attracted to, so they don't feel hidden shame constantly. This allows them to not let these thoughts fester in the dark, and instead openly discuss whats going on in their head. Over time, as they mature knowing that having sex with a child is rape, because of children's lack of ability to consent, coupled with the lowering of libido from it's dangerous early 20's levels, they'll learn to control themselves to the point where the feeling isn't even an issue and they can't even imagine the nights they used to stay up late haunted by it.

I'm pretty sure they promised a game more advanced (in features) than skyrim, and gave us, well, fable, which is like "open world" if maybe you've never played a real open world game before.

It was a pretty good action rpg for its time, and if you were to play it blind back when it came out, you'd probably honestly love it, but it's also just this complete bastion of wasted potential.

Dysphoria isn't cured by external change, so it's not surprising. Just as long as no one uses this to delegitimize gender reassignment surgery as a legit treatment ( I mean they will, but I mean outside of the people who would do it anyway) this does seem like a good thing to popularize to add a bit of needed prudence to a life changing procedure.
