The White Sox are the only team in that division that has a chance to challenge Cleveland within the next couple years if they make savvy moves. Aside from the possibility of one of those random flukey runs from the twins or maybe tigers but that seems less and less likely. The Royals are going to be horrible for a while probably.

Maybe he uses it to hook up with hot Nats fans. I guess that would be a benefit.

^ I don't know what you mean by that, but if athletes/famous people on twitter follow Dwight's very simple rule they will be just fine: Whenever I'm about to do something, I think, "Would an idiot do that?" And if they would, I do not do that thing.

All I mean is, what exactly is Trea Turner getting out of having a twitter account? What are the benefits? The only outcomes here were that people find out about the old tweets and get mad at him or no one ever finds out and everyone remains completely neutral on him. It isn't like having a twitter is good for his career.

I'm playing Persona 5 now. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It's my first Persona and the daily structure of it makes it crazy addicting. Any game with that "I'll just play for one more day" thing going on can get its hooks in me.

Yeah they tried their best at this place too but it's just not the same. Seeing a movie is its own insular experience, I don't really need it to be a whole thing with dinner too. ANd like I said the prices were ridiculous so it didn't help my opinion that it was like a $14 sandwich and chips.

Yeah, they don't have Alamo around here but there is a "dine-in" theater I went to one time. It was egregiously overpriced food that was just fine and they straight up interrupt your viewing to deliver it to you. I saw Now You See Me though which was bad so I didn't care, but I can't imagine seeing a decent movie and having that all happen around you.

Well yeah I guess I should have counted ice cream cakes. Those DQ ones are pretty incredible. I like cookie cakes a lot too but I don't put them in the same category as regular cake.

Today was my sister's birthday and we went out to dinner and blah blah blah. Anyway, birthday cake you get from the grocery store is so good. It's better than any kind of "interesting" cake. Just get a chocolate rectangle with frosting.

Well yeah. He has really good maneuverability and can add barrier though. The lack of damage blocking hurts but I think he's really strong overall. Maybe I was in a good team comp or something but I did really well with him.

I played some Overwatch and checked out the new character tonight... He's cool but I think his damage/range is a little high for a tank. He seems really good even before you roll around with him. But the swinging is pretty technical so that would take practice.

I was just looking at the Rays on Fangraphs (yes another boring work day) and I was shocked by their leader in WAR among position players. I wouldn't have gotten it in 100 guesses. It was none other than the legendary Daniel Robertson a name I am quite confident I've never heard or read before this moment.

In the early days after I had put down BotW every third person game would feel weird in my hands. I thought Horizon Zero Dawn was great but her lack of movement options vs Link was incredibly jarring.

My main issue with Fortnite is that you can go such long stretches without actually doing anything. I get that's part of the appeal and in a way it is kinda fun just running around but idk. Any time I actually try to get involved in the early fracas I get wrecked.

A new high and a new low in my esports career tonight, the first night I played Overwatch in around two weeks:

High: at the end of a match we won a kid on mic said "that was a great ult at the end Lucio"

Yeah I was thinking it was a big risk if Toronto actually wants him to play for them because you can't guarantee he'll ever suit up if he doesn't want to. It's taking a holdout to the extreme. If he was on his rookie contract I would have more sympathy for him but since he re-signed at some point I feel like he oughta just play. But whatever. I don't have any sympathy for an NBA owner either.
