Explain how in some levels koopas can enter into a shell then? You can't believe they have two koopas in there at once!

A fair point. I concede that point.

Other companies would have run on exactly the same strategy though. If Google hadn't created YT someone else with as much money would have done. This feels more like a rant about capitalism in general than just YT \ Google tbh.

They should've been a subscription from the start, is probably what should've happened, but all of these companies do that thing where they run at a loss until all their competition is gone first. No other company could've absorbed the losses Google did to keep that afloat.

And if they had someone else would have come in and done what google have done with YT.

I will never pay for Youtube, period.

I was kinda hoping he'd respond to my post as I genuinely tried to explain my frustrations, asked for clarification on bits and presented things I thought would help restore trust in famdom.

This is the thing. I've never once tried to convince people they should get premium. People just couldn't accept that I'm happy to pay for it as are some other users on here. I gave my reasons. People are free to disagree with me all they want as long as they don't make it personal which sadly it has been getting.

Yeah when I was about 17. We even met up for a few days.

The internet was a much simpler place back then when it came to meeting people online tbh. I'm greatful a lot of what I got up to back then wasn't recorded in SM. So much I'm embarassed about tbh lol.

YouTube Red also started off with a lot of skepticism because they were pulling entire creators like VSauce behind a paywall. Which I'm sure was great for their creative pursuits getting a budget but it wasn't what a lot of subscribers wanted.

As was mentioned in a previous topic no one else can enter the market because it would cost too much to run a playform like YT. There seems to be a disconnect between people saying it should remain free without ads and also accepting it costs a lot to run.

Think it depends on the game. The way doom does it is good but wouldnt work for a survival horror game.

No worries. As I get old I do admit Im less willing to try new things because I just cant be arsed. I think its because I have enough stresses with work and family commitments I just want to spend my free time doing something fun.

Considering how much I spend on other streaming services, 15 quid or whatever it is for YouTube just doesnt even factor into my monthly budget. Its just collated under entertainment when I use YNAB.
