| Romulox28 04/28/21 2:51:32 PM #164 | easy mode ruins the whole design of a souls game. try running through an early area in any souls game when your dude is at a high lvl and you will see why, the entire game is built around every enemy encounter, trap etc potentially having a huge impact on the player. only way i think they could make this work is by making everything scale with your level, but then that sort of kills the sense of progression that is one of the major reasons ppl like the franchise. i guess they could also keep the difficulty but add in handicaps like regen health or w/e, but at that point just go play assassins creed or whatever. as someone else said, not everything is for everyone. i always feel like the people who complain about the franchise's difficulty are the types that are only into dark souls so they can get gamer cred (lol) or because they dont want to feel left out of the (internet) conversation. never seen anyone want an easy mode b/c they think it would be an improvement on the formula --- |
