Trickle-down economics

Republicans may have given a fuck at one time, but it was a long time ago.

Alright cool - now, how does trickle-down economics hurt the poor? (We're getting closer to your actual point I think)

The wealth does not trickle down. All we have seen is the rich get richer and the lower class grow.

Now this is where Proudclad chimes in to blame all the bad things on the left team and points out how America has more millionaires than any other country.

OK but you're still not pointing to a specific cause of how this is happening....all you are saying is the wealth doesn't trickle down...let's talk about that. Wealth not trickling down doesn't necessarily hurt poor people - the argument from the other side is that less business restriction creates more opportunities for people to grow.

The arguments from the left that I've heard regarding how trickle down hurts poor people deal with the fact that lower taxes = cuts in things that poor people depend on such as welfare, etc. Is this the position you have?

I guess this impasse means America is fucked.

who would have thought those with zero work experience will now have a much harder time finding work since it costs the same to hire them, or someone with more experience....

Is this another one of those surveys that asks like 1000 people and then acts like that's a big enough sample size to extrapolate it to all 300 million?

typically it works better than you think

how

Because when you poll 1000 dumbasses and get to make it seem like a huge portion of the country is that way that counts as 'working better' for certain agendas

sampling is an art. A study that is poorly designed with a large sample size could give you worse results than nicely designed study with a smaller sample size.

Harmonquest glosses over 99% of the rules that your average tabletop rpg has, but at any rate great choice with Pathfinder, it is my favorite for fantasy by quite a bit.

yeah you know, I figured that while watching.

here's my predicament - I think I will really really enjoy the roleplaying / improv aspect of it all but I'm not sure how well I can keep track of all the rules

I need my own spencer so i can just tell him what i want and he'll tell me yes or no

or maybe ill just learn the rules haha - looks like no one on ce would be interested in doing a game so ill go back to lue and try to convince them

@Leanaunfurled - my high school had lockers so small you couldn't even fit a backpack in there...i really feel like i missed out

I didn't know there was an RPG LUE crew, but this ain't LUE bro. Anyway, I'm a table top destructor.

yeah i know this isn't lue...that reference was more a parody of the fact that i only tagged folks from lue

not really too knowledgeable about CE

So for those who know the game - what is the best way to start? Should I just read up on everything first? Jump right into a game? How do I find a DM? Is online a good way to do this?

etc etc

i threw out a suggestion of doing a lue game but i dont think there was much interest...maybe we can do a CE game...anyone a dungeon master here?

how in depth do i have to go to be able to run a game for my friends and get them into it? does surface level knowledge still make the game fun?

should have been 4 discs

disc 1 - all of midgar (each sector could be explored, as well as the "upper crust"
disc 2 - after midgar escape through city of ancients
disc 3 - CoA to end game
disc 4 - midgar completely reopens and has tons of new side quests as well as end game time

but it was still one of the best for its time....I should do a replay someday

Watcha learnin'?

Finally brought my Taylor back home - it was at my friend's house because he has a studio we jam in. But I never rock my acoustic there so it is in its rightful place now.

Re-learning this Ewan Dobson song

Man that bass line he does during the "chorus" is tough but when you can do it, it's so satisfying.

What is everyone here learning on their guitars at the moment? I'm actually going to be giving my wife lessons starting soon and if anyone has some beginner suggestions I'm all ears.
