Err... yes. They do. All the time. The thing is, you can actually look at the thread itself right now and see there's no dox there. You can look at old external archives of the thread too and see there never were any dox there.

European cities often have local culture or rules that can essentially be summed up as "new buildings aren't allowed to be an eyesore". The fact that many buildings are hundreds of years old makes locals want to preserve the classical scenery and architecture. When people suggest building skyscrapers those plans often get scrapped due to locals protesting. As a result, cities tend to go wide instead of tall.

The tl;dr is that our rents are super cheap because of government intervention, but as a consequence queues to actually get said apartments are very long. For bad apartments the lines are a year long, for the best apartments you often have to queue for a decade.

But again, very cheap, even with the taxes.

The debate is whether or not to let landlords negotiate prices directly with renters and make it faster for people to find an apartment. The worry is that rent prices are going to skyrocket as a result.

I'm not saying that happened, but that's probably the theory Kiwi Farms will push.

So far it looks like a mix of people either believing he's not dead or that he killed himself because he's been depressed and suicidal for years and it was only a matter of time.

I've been spending way too much time reading through that thread. I need to go do something more productive. The past several pages I've read have all pretty much been the same anyway.

See, here's the weirdest thing of all; from what I can see the thread didn't contain any dox. Just links to his official website and social media.

EDIT: Re-reading the e-mail, Byuu himself said the dox were uploaded to pastebin and posted on 4chan. It's kinda odd nobody put them on Kiwi Farms in that case considering their fondness for dox, but I'm over a dozen pages in and I still haven't found anyone posting them. Everything about this is just so weird.

I don't know. That's about where I gave up. Stuff was going on in emails, Reddit, 4Chan, Twitter, etc. It's impossible to sort out. The RetroArch guys accused him of several mental illnesses. Who knows what's true though? That's actually one of the points Byuu was trying to make at one point.

I just find it so weird, because by the looks of the early pages in that thread it seems the people on Kiwi Farms mostly liked the guy. It got worse in the last couple of pages before the explosion where apparently he had started talking about depression and stuff where some people said things like "I hope he at least finishes the N64 emulator before killing himself" and stuff like that.

I think Kiwi Farms cataloguing his fights was a source of anxiety, but I don't know if I'd say he was "targeted" by them. But I'm only one page in.

Been reading. It's odd. The thread only accumulated about 200 post over a period of 3 years, he himself participated in said thread and was actually received rather well. When people talk about drama he was involved in they keep linking to threads on 4chan, so it seems it's on 4chan all the bad stuff was happening and Kiwi Farms mostly just talked about it, some disparagingly, some supportingly. Then out of nowhere the owner of Kiwi Farms gets an email from him offering him 120000 dollars to take down the thread "or I'll commit suicide" and posts the email in the thread and the thread gets about 1000 posts over the course of a single day. What the hell happened here?

Here's a fun exercise: try to translate the word "ju" to English. Det gr ju fan inte.

I'd translate "... men det r verkurs" to "... but that's beyond the scope of this lesson" or something along those lines.
