She is honestly just trying to see if you are a dog person because that is an important part of her life. Chances are she dated someone that put up with her dog and ultimately was faking it and it didn't work out.

Unless she has a chihuahua you should be able to win over a dog. If you can't be nice to a dog you honestly don't deserve a companion anyways. Chihuahua's are aggressively defensive about their owners though, and if she has one of those I would tread carefully because some will bite to draw blood the moment anyone gets near their human.

Was really fun. Went to Alicante Spain, Paris France and Rome Italy.

Did all the touristy stuff in Paris and Rome. Full on bus tours guides with audio recordings and sight seeing. Hung out with a friend in Alicante Spain for a few days prior.

The food was bomb and I only wish that I knew more of the languages so I could communicate with people. I guess I should get to practicing that again.

Overall, it is one of the things in life I'm super happy I chose to do when I did. I get to forever say I had the experience of traversing a totally foreign land on my own. I wonder if it'll be possible to have the same type of trip again anytime soon.

I am losing my hair and basically do a high and tight fade crew cut. I have virtually no other options at this point other than to completely shave my head, but I don't like the idea of doing that and don't like the idea of that being what I look like. I don't want to be a totally bald guy.

It's a serious issue that has severely damaged my confidence. I used to feel like an attractive man, but now I just feel like I'm not fooling anybody. What am I supposed to do? Get a wig? Biologically, we naturally associate healthy hair with beauty and my hair is a worst case scenario.

What I'm trying to tell you is that in order to have a healthy social life and talk to people outside of CE, you have to learn to sit through a lot of crap like this without rolling your eyes.

You could try to playfully point out why it's inconsistent, but you're better off hiding your annoyance, going "Whoa crazy how that works", and then suggesting it is probably inaccurate to whoever in the group you actually talk to on any individual basis.

TC, I also think it's incredibly lame. I don't know what to tell you. Even if you convinced CE to stop, people will always do this at work, parties, coffee shops, anywhere that you go that people have idle chit chat. There is no stopping it and when you point this out you will be a big stick in the mud and they will all slowly stop responding to you when you talk, and gather away from you.

You aren't understanding. My job takes up an extremely small amount of my time and is basically none of my identity as a result.

You spend more time posting on CE than I do working and you get nothing out of it.

It sounds like you're trying to bond and find some common ground with your grandmother. But getting them to read an entire book that is not really in their wheelhouse is a very tall order, especially from a woman who is that late into her life.

Loan officer could mean different things depending on what company you work for. Typically it means you work in sales aka a banker. I am not a salesman. I am the person who cross references their application with guidelines, an Underwriter.

No, not remotely. However, since it impedes on my life very little it doesn't bother me. I love animals and spend my days making sure my dog is as happy and healthy as possible. I have volunteer days I can use to get paid at animal shelters. I also have fulfilling hobbies. When I retire early, I imagine I will devote more of my energy to helping animals and getting that fulfillment.

Topic title was so stupid I didn't even read TC's post.

I didn't even know you could play as Bass.

I'm on the last level as Protoman. I didn't realize Protoman is kind of like playing it on hard because of his low armor.

I just played 9 games as Megaman and I wanted to change it up. The shield mechanic was a welcome addition and I prefer being able to charge and slide. Feels more like the Mega Man we progressed to 1-8. Is there a reason for me to play as MM once I beat this?

Always been pretty good at taking care of this job. All my peers over scrutinize and question stuff they don't need to, so even when we're busy I get stuff done fast.

We are at slow season and these days the amount of work I get can be done in under 2 hours.

Most of my day is spent walking my dog, reading at coffee shops, having a fancy brunch at some Cafe, or doing something else beneficial. At worst I wind up taking a long nap which is good but sometimes I feel bad for wasting the time.

Also, broke into six figure territory last year. Not doing so bad, and I just thought I'd let CE know it.

Usually when people get hurt in a gym it is because of one of two things.

- They didn't tie their figure 8 knot right. If the gym allows you to rope up with a belayer, they will teach you how to tie a figure 8 knot. Every gym I've been to has the top ropes secured and waiting to be tied into, so the rope is all ready for you to tie into your harness with. It's very easy to tie a figure 8 knot into your harness, the gym will show you how to, and they will also show your belay partner a very easy way of double checking your knot and making sure it's done right. As long as you have your figure 8 knot tied and looped through your harness properly, you aren't in any danger.

- People also get injured by falling wrong while bouldering. The most common injury is a rolled ankle when you land one foot on a crash pad, and the other off of it, and you land on an unlevel surface. I don't imagine you'll be doing any hard bouldering your first time there. If you do any, just make sure you don't climb any higher than you can down-climb until you're comfortable falling, and make sure the crash pad is directly underneath you while climbing so you don't land the way I described.

Gym climbing is idiot proof. You are on top rope. The rope is literally above you and when you "fall" you sit in your harness. Most gyms will either give you free upfront training on how to give a top rope belay, or they won't let you do rope climbing without an auto belay mechanism.

You are at very little risk of actually getting hurt.

It depends. I've gotten a couple numbers by disappearing to the bathroom, getting myself boned up, then sitting in a way at the bar a girl will notice. Sometimes it is easier to give them a reason to approach you as opposed to coming up with an opener.

Pretty pathetic that my argument cuts so deep all you can do is run to my karma level.

Posting on CE adds the same benefit to your life as lying in bed all day and the sooner you realize this the sooner you can actually get off your butt and start making improvements in your life.

Yeah super vain people like that are never satisfied by the individual compliment. They get off on a high number of likes, so I always refuse to give positive reinforcement to that kind of stuff.

When wearing a wrist watch, why do some people wear the watch backwards, IE with the face facing the inside of your wrist as opposed to the outside.

This hides the face which is the center piece of the watch. Is this just a boomer thing or do people actually do this when they go out in public?
