Oh, well the episode is called Ash, Iris, and Trip's Final Battle so I just assumed it was. Unless none of them win...? My guess is that the semifinal's are Iris vs. Ash, and Trip vs. ???. Ash and Trip advance, and they have their final battle in the Junior Cup. If that happens, I can see Trip defeating Ash, earning his goal of challenging Alder. -- ph33r teh masta~! |

Not entirely wrong. The Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma episodes were supposed to air between these two episodes, but because of the earthquake in Japan, they didn't air. So the episodes were skipped. Jesus Christ, writers, I literally cannot remember how many “Ash recruits an abused pokemon from another trainer by impressing it with his caring and battle skills” episodes there have been. I literally cannot. Except that isn't the case in this episode. It is speculated that Snivy abandoned her trainer because she deemed him/her unworthy, and not the other way around. -- ph33r teh masta~! |

As far as Nintendo's concerned, Raichu is the third evolution. Technically, Raichu is that line's second evolution, first evolution being Pikachu. I don't see them adding third evolutions for a very long time. -- ph33r teh masta~! |

Is... is Iris going to catch a Dragonite? o_O Well, the episode's summary... "Finally, the Pokemon World Tournament Junior Cup has kicked off.
