Till the End of Time might be on there as well.

Basically Star ocean: a second story is probably the best title, but that's PS1 era. TtEoT is the third title, it's a love it or hate it. Last Hope is 4th and a prequel. A lot didn't like it, but I really enjoyed the combat system.

Everyone seems to universally hate the one that came out last year.

Yeah SO5 was a huge step forward for the combat and the role system was great. But it had the weakest and shortest story of all the games, only 1 planet to explore, and most of the enemies/moves were rehashed from SO4.

Yes its the first SO game for PC. TLH isn't too bad. Put it on Japanese subs and it's better. The game is all about the combat and music, story is 'okay'. But you'll get a lot of playtime out of it. I'm on my third playthrough since getting it on PC.

With Last Hope you atleast get your money's worth for the amount of gameplay that's offered. I bought SO5 for 60 bucks and beat it in 20 hours. Normal playthrough for me on SO4? 60+ hours easy.

TLH has the hardest to get achievements of most video games ever. If you want to 100% that game, be prepared to dump like 1500 hours + into it.

EU Luke made plenty of bonehead pacifist choices, some of which were major mistakes
We all knew he wouldn't die because he's the main character of those books

His characterization in I, Jedi was pretty close to how he is in The Last Jedi

I, Jedi was like 5 years after ROTJ. I'm talking about post Darth Cade novels that took place 40+ years after ROTJ. Ya know, where the New Republic banned Luke from Coruscant and the Jedi Temple so he wouldn't interfere with anything because they couldnt touch him. Luke stopped being a main character halfway through the Vong War novels also. I just don't think any of the writers or people at Lucasarts wanted to be known as "that guy that killed Luke". Kind of like what happened to Chewbacca.

The larger amount of the audience (families and children) were more than likely upset about *spoilers* luke dying, the scene with snoke was somewhat graphic, and you have mature themes overall about failure, which is a lot darker than most star wars films. As a fan of the EU, i'm very glad at the direction this movie took over the bullshit that EU books start on any character whatsoever.
