He has better credit than me, and makes more on disability than I usually do working. Even when he got his ass kicked by the 2008 real estate market crash, lost his business and million dollar water-front house he still had enough savings to move out of state and outright buy a house in a much cheaper area. | PMarth2002 05/14/20 6:53:35 PM #4 | I worked as a courier for a few months back in 2010. My boss literally just wrote me a check every week based on the number of deliveries I took. The job would've been decent if it had paid a livable wage, but it involved a lot of hours where I had no deliveries. Most of my job was waiting around for a delivery. Their biggest contract was Florida Blood services. Deliveries usually involved going to one of the blood drive locations to pick up what they had and bring it to their processing facility, or picking up blood from their processing facility and delivering it to a hospital somewhere. --- No matter where you go, there you are. |

Like I said, 3.X/PF is the worst edition for caster balance. If you want better balance, you're better off playing another edition of D&D or a different game or sticking to lower levels. streamofthesky posted... more touch AC but less total AC, Touch AC is just AC minus your armor, shield and deflection bonus, so that doesn't really make sense. The other stuff is fine, but only really addresses some combat issues, it doesn't really address the way spell-casters can break the game by simply using spells to bypass a lot of encounters or obstacles. --- No matter where you go, there you are. |

| PMarth2002 05/14/20 1:03:02 PM #3 | I'd say a person with an intelligence of 6-7 is mentally challenged, while a person with a 5 or less is severely mentally handicapped. For reference, animals usually have an intelligence of 1, with particularly intelligent animals getting a 2 or a 3 (which is the lowest possible value of 3d6). Strength usually determines how much weight you can move around in various ways, so you can actually guestimate your own strength based on those values. There's been things that appeal to me on some level, but nothing I felt any kind of passionate desire to follow. Some things I find appealing... Writer. My preferred mediums would probably be novels or comics. Maybe videogames. I can't draw, so that kind of makes comics hard to do unless I have a partner, and while i've been tossing ideas around forever I'm usually content to find other things to do than sit down and write. Pilot. I've been in love with the idea of flight since forever, but it never really occured to me to seriously pursue it. The idea of learning how to fly is scary and then I looked into how much it would cost... Open up a hobby shop. I've been a fan of D&D for over two decades, so I thought it would be cool to open up a hobby shop, but changed my mind as I learned about how much work running a business can involve and how likely they are to fail. --- No matter where you go, there you are. |
