I had a transformers action figure that changed into a Triceratops.

My brother had one that changed into a fully working cassette player. Anyone know the names of these two Transformers?

The triceratops one is Slug, one of the Dinobots and an Autobot. The cassette player would either be Soundwave, a Decepticon, or Blaster, an Autobot, depending on which one he had. If it was blue/purple, that's Soundwave. If it was red/white, that's Blaster.

As far as the topic is concerned, I'm a huge fan and have been my whole life. The original show was amazing even if it was just a vehicle to push out toys. It did deal with some actual real-world issues which was nice to see at the time even if the kids that were watching couldn't fully grasp some of the concepts being discussed. The original movie was, and still is, the pinnacle of what Gen1 encompasses. That scene where Unicron first transforms is some of the best animation around and it's decades old at this point. The soundtrack absolutely slaps and fits every scene perfectly. I would do a long list of things to see a remake of that movie that expands on some scenes (mainly the fight at Autobot City on Earth) and have it include some aspects added later (such as the Dinobots being combiners and using that to square off against Devastator).

I did start collecting figures again, I'm trying to get as many SS86 ones as I can but I missed most of the releases and resellers are asking for an arm and a leg nowadays. Though I've gotten a nice Sideswipe collection going at the moment, just need to find a reasonably priced Masterpiece to round out my collection of his toys.

They had a chance to course-correct after DW9 and taking some time off for other games and this is what we get. Developers really need to learn the phrase "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I understand they wanted to try something new with DW6, and again with DW9, but when you look at how well-received and successful both DW7 and DW8 were, the change in 9 was just shooting themselves in the foot and then rather than go back to what works, they do this odd combination of Wo Long and Dynasty Warriors which no one asked for. Just give us Dynasty Warriors 10 with a massive roster, unique weapons and move-sets for each officer, and large but stand-alone battlefields where we fight hundreds to thousands of enemy troops while navigating the Three Kingdoms Era of Ancient Chinese history.

I am an avid subscriber to #BanTheLan. Always was, always will be. I enjoyed our windups and of course as part of Batch 16 you probably saw a lot of it. I just checked and wow, you and Lazy are the only two left from our batch.
