I never really watched the show, but I voted for Donna because I got the impression that Jackie was dumb and slutty while Donna was intelligent and at least decent-looking.

I don't want to lose any karma, so I try hard not to say anything offensive.

I might see this if it looks like the movie is going to explore all the ramifications of introducing the Beatles' songs to the world, and/or give a good explanation for why this guy is the only one who knows of the Beatles. As commenters on that video say, it is the sort of thing most of us have wondered what we'd do if it happened to us.

Those skirts in the top two pics do seem way too short for school or a workplace, though. The girls themselves aren't that attractive to me, but something just doesn't seem "right" about the skirts.

I once tried to hit on a lesbian until she would go out with me. It didn't work.

Bump. FYI, the reason I mentioned Young Sheldon is that the season finale ended with shots of all the other TBBT characters as kids. A neat idea, but I wonder if it would've been better to save that as the ending to the entire series, so that somebody could watch all of Young Sheldon first and then have it lead right into TBBT.

Well, I didn't see the punchlines coming. >_> Obviously I knew roughly what the characters would say since the show has been on for so long, but that's true of any sitcom that's been on for a while.

The only thing disappointing about the finale was that Raj's story never got an ending. He's still in the same basic life situation as when the show started, except that now he has no problem speaking to women, which happened a few years ago.

Anybody want to talk about the TBBT series finale and the Young Sheldon season finale? There's another topic that mentions the TBBT series finale, but the topic title doesn't make that clear, and I don't want to have to hide spoilers.

I'll start by saying I was impressed with how TBBT handled the elevator getting fixed. Right after Sheldon said (paraphrased), "Isn't anything in my life going to remain stable?!", the elevator went "Ding!". Because of how upset Sheldon was, I had totally forgotten that we had to deal with the elevator before the end of the show!

There's nothing big that I hope happens on the finale, but I would like to see it get established whether the elevator will ever get fixed or not; I assume most people want to know this. I also hope Sheldon says "Bazinga!" at least once more because he hasn't said it in years; maybe he could reveal why he stopped saying it. (Of course, in real life Sheldon stopped saying it because Jim Parsons thought it was getting overdone.)

Actually, I'll be impressed if, at the first cast interview after the finale, Jim Parsons says, "Bazinga, we'll keep the show going as long as you want to watch us!"

I'll be impressed if Raj, Howard, and Bernadette end up forming a polyamorous triple. I'm pretty sure that won't happen, though, as nothing so far has given me the impression that Bernadette would want that.

I've never watched it, but I'm glad it can get an ending this way. I think that any show that's been around for at least five seasons deserves an ending.

I got taste, probably the best one to lose. Some would say it's better to lose smell, but I'd rather be able to smell things like smoke.

I heard a feminist say that sex strikes aren't really a good idea because they encourage people to see sex as just a commodity. She said that if women would simply not have sex when they don't want to, most of the effects of a sex strike would be achieved. For instance, a pro-choice woman will probably find a guy too unattractive to have sex with when she finds out he supports severe restrictions on abortion, regardless of how he looks.

Well, dating a somewhat cute transwoman isn't that bad considering who else I could've gotten, especially if she acts feminine.

Yeah, how weird that this 29-year-old woman from the Bronx/Westchester would have never seen a device that was literally illegal to install in New York City from the early 1970s until 1997 and, even after the ban was lifter, only 1% of homeowners in the city had.

In addition, garbage disposals were still banned in commercial properties, such as restaurants and bars, after 1997.

I guess it's like the George H. W. Bush supermarket-scanner incident, though that had a different sort of innocent explanation behind it (he was impressed by a new kind of scanner, not the idea of scanners in general).

I understand people giving their pronouns if they feel they get referred to by the wrong ones too often, but it seems like virtue signaling if you do that as a cisgender person whose photo and user name would cause most people to guess your pronouns correctly (for instance, a feminine-looking cisgender woman with a feminine user name who lists "she/her"). Maybe those sorts of people just want to underscore that a person could have any appearance and any chosen pronouns?
