No one remembers the following... hell, I didn't remember these until about 5 minutes ago (this below is obscure as fuck... but for some reason I have some of these toys. LOL):

MANTECH!!! (from around 1983)

So...
What's the deal with these toys?
It's a toy line where you could rip the limbs and head off of the figures (you could even pretend to rip a leg or arm or head off while playing) and you could even swap limbs and heads on to other Mantech figures and you could even turn them into hideous freaks depending on what you do with their parts:

Also...
Each Mantech figure came with a COMIC BOOK (just like the He-man figures did). Mantech had some interesting comics with each figure (they would blow arms, legs and heads off in these comics. LMAO. No blood since they are cyborgs and they could just pick up a new limb to replace the old one they lost).

Two ALFs and an E.T sitting around and chilling out. I love that one Alf's T-shirt:
"Earth is a NICE PLACE to visit... but... I WOULDN'T WANNA LIVE HERE!". LOL.

Inhumanoids: The Evil that Lies Within.
Now these are some nightmare fuel hardcore toys!!

Somehow...
Someway...
The Inhumanoids cartoon was only rated PG. LMAO!!!

Inhumanoids was badass.
It's a toy line where the main characters are SATAN (Metlar), CTHULHU (Tendril) and an undead zombie / vampire like demonic DINOSAUR humanoid thing (D.compose) who would rip open his own rib cage and put humans inside his chest / stomach and keep them captive inside his guts. Sick shit. I love it. Hasbro needs to bring them back! License them out to Paramount so they can make an R rated horror film with those three running around and causing sick shit!

Also...
I love how huge the main three Inhumanoid toys were in comparison to the others.
Metlar, Tendril, and D.compose were freaking HUGE!!

There's a point and click game that has missables that you need to beat the game. So you can miss it, keep playing because you don't realize you missed it, but not be able to finish the game because of it.

Can't remember what game though, one of the King's Quests maybe?

Some of the earlier King's Quest games do this and it was freaking annoying.

@CableZL

That's a huge reason. Also, throw in the virus and the danger that comes with being infected (and the chances of getting infected are GREATLY increased in a public job around many people one has to be at for eight hours) combined with having to enforce mask rules (which is a HUGE pain in the ass because a lot of people, especially adults, will argue and curse you out if you tell them there is a mask rule in place) combined with other pain in the ass costumers combined with workers having to wear a mask for EIGHT HOURS at work for the vast majority of the day (I'm not an anti-masker, but having to wear a mask for most of the eight hours straight for five days a week becomes very uncomfortable after a while for most people, which makes anti-masker customers even more of a pain in the ass because all they have to do is wear a mask for maybe 30 minutes at most while they shop and then they can go back to their cars and take off their masks. The workers don't have that luxury and most workers become VERY angry and bitter towards anti-masker costumers who curse them out over having to wear a mask for 20 fucking minutes while they shop while the worker has to wear a mask for most of the eight hours they work).

Combine all that with bosses that don't appreciate the workers (most bosses don't give a shit about workers) combined with workers also having to enforce distance protocols among customers (many customers will not follow 6 feet apart guidelines even with fucking stickers on the floor showing where to stand and will curse out workers who try to point this out) and combine this with most employers NOT offering health insurance for their workers (which puts workers in more danger if they get infected with the virus. A lot of people without health insurance will delay going to a doctor if they get sick due to cost and the COVID-19 virus is something you NEED to go to a doctor or even hospital for, you can't just stay home and sleep it off) all of this combined makes it where one is better off just staying the fuck home OR trying to find a job that is far easier and pays better and gives out proper benefits like health insurance (which is important during a pandemic).

^This.
Combined with...
That...

how pathetic are you to not be able to just wait until its over

I think it depends on the specific situation between two people.
For example, if my next door neighbor decides she wants to date tomorrow, we are dating tomorrow. However, it should be noted that she is one of the FOUR people I have had any contact in person with for close to a year and the two of us don't go anywhere (she has only had the same exact contact as I have with the same people), so I know she is clean and our idea of a date is Netflix indoors and prepare a dinner indoors to eat at one of our places. In other words, we sure as hell wouldn't be trying to go out for a normal date to theaters and a restaurant.

As for traditional dating, that can be near impossible depending on where one lives (some areas have no COVID-19 cases or pretty close to none and everything is open so asking someone out on a date and then dating normally would be pretty easy and safe. Other areas are infested as all hell with everything closed and heavy restrictions, so trying to date under those circumstances would be next to impossible and would be an incredibly bad idea).

There is online dating, but again, it depends on the situation that's happening in a specific area. Even in the same state, one area in a state might not have any cases of COVID-19, but somewhere else in that same state miles away might be a shit show of epic proportions where just going out, let alone dating, is a bad idea due to the heavy infestation rate.
Overall, I say it depends on specific situations and circumstances and areas.
