I saw a show recently where they went to a huge famous open market in India. 99% of the food tested very high in fecal contamination. The locals are used to it but anyone else is highly likely to become extremely ill.

It is common in many Asian and African countries to just relieve yourself right in the middle of your crops as you work them. The water used for them is the same water they bathe in, wash clothes in and use as a toilet. Many of these crops are not washed before being sold.

As far as the cooked stuff, due to the lack of regulations in 90% of countries, you are taking a gamble there too.

Feel free to risk your health but I would rather be safe than catch a nasty bug.

Looks like all of the nasty pizza I had from so-called famous pizza places while in NY. They were worse than store bought.

Years back, I fell into trips to NY and Chicago within a month of each other. I ate at several well known pizza places in each city. The NY places were subpar to bad. The Chicago deep dish place was amazing and the NY style pizza place in Chicago was way better than the actual NY pizza places.

Reparations? Hahaha. Get in line. I can think of two very historic cases of such promises and just look at how those turned out....Never going to happen...
