also I think your staff count on older games is a little off, it's not quite that low but it's definitely lower than nowadays. but also it's not like output scales directly with team size; a 50 person team is not 50x as productive as a 1 person team because of effort wasted in organizational overhead

It was not from smoking one time. I had been smoking consistently at that point, it was only until i started smoking on my own because i was falling into depression that i had a psychotic episode. This kind of stuff happens across all boards not just losers/scummy people go through mental health problems. A lot of folks have better support systems and can endure more and are able to make better decisions. I made some poor decisions after high school but during high school i was a stud. People literally get triggered when i show them pictures of me as a freshman in college and during other peaks ive had. They cannot understand what happened. Fucking drugs happened man, thats quite literally it. Hanging out with the wrong folks and drugs.

Thats also not a very nice thing to say about folks who suffer with mental illness. Karmas a bitch bro i would definitely rethink your whole perspective if you are going to negatively label people who fall into deep depressions or whose brain zonks out due to terrible life circumstances. Pretty shitty to just lump people who end up on ssdi because their parents die or some other tragic event happens in their life with like gangbangers and criminals. I also had something in my early childhood happen that contributed to my psychosis but yeah i guess i am a loser/scumbag to you. You are entitled to think what you want.

Its complicated. The whole thing started when i got diagnosed with a chemical imbalance from a psychotic episode i experienced after smoking some weed at like 19 years old. I would get better after i quit the weed but because i hung out with shady people every 2 years or so i would relapse and smoke weed again which created a vicious cycle of hospitalizations. I was also abusing alcohol as well during this. It is honestly a miracle i am alive. For the last 4 years i have just been trying to be healthy, i have been the longest away from weed since i was 16 and i am doing better overall so i am hoping maybe by next year i can start weaning off these meds and reintegrate back into society. I have been doing everything right for the most part.

I get depressed whenever I dont have a job. Mostly cause I feel like a burden but even now I'm out of work cause I broke my hand and its super annoying but every night I have dreams relating to my job.

Also dont think weed has anything to do with your problem. Have known plenty of people that stayed high constantly turn out fine. Hell I used to get high at least 3 times a day everyday. And ive been a on again off again alcoholic almost half my life

Been a NEET for the last 4 years. Been disabled for around 8 years. This lifestyle sucks. You are not given enough money to realistically survive on your own on disability. For me its the medical benefits that keep me on this, most jobs have bullshit probationary periods where they offer no benefits so in a way i am trapped. The best thing i can do is find some side hustle for cash but i risk losing everything if the income is significant.

While it is nice to sleep in, the medications i am on make everything more difficult for me to do. You would think with all the time on my hands i could educate myself but when your disability is a mental one you cannot focus on things for a very long time without wanting to kill yourself. A lot of folks experienced the NEET life during the covid lockdowns, being a NEET is kinda like those lockdowns except you do not have to get up for work...it sounds better than it actually is. After like 1 year of this you want stuff to do but at that point your physical and mental fitness have deteriorated to the point that you would not even make a good janitor.

I hope this helps shed a bit of light. The question of legitimacy had been mentioned, i dunno if my diagnosis is correct but i have been hospitalized like 10 times in the last 10 years for mental health related issues. I think i am close to making a full or at least partial rehabilitation. My problem is that supposedly i drank and smoked so much weed i permanently messed up the neurotransmitters in my brain.

I still don't get why folks think SSDI is full of fakers. It took a family member of mine 5 or 6 years to get approved and almost all of it went to her medications. Then she ended up dying over a year after being approved. She was in very messed up health for years.

Why go back to work when I literally get more $$$$$ by staying home and playing games? Where I live, many businesses are closing down because lack of workers. And i don't blame the workers themselves.

Blows my mind that I used to work over 50 hours for a year in restaurants, and still made less $$$$ than today where i'm sitting home and playing games lmao. And no... I don't care about the "huuurr duuur you're not contributing to society! huurr duuur".
