I did enjoy the game, but the enemies stop being terrifying like 2 hours in when you unlock poop bombs and suddenly they become a resource to be farmed, not feared. An upgraded bomb combined with a regular shotgun (shooting through the red mist created by a bomb causes regular bullets to do blood bullet damage) can take out regular enemies with ease, completely trivializing the fear factor.

Yeah but every game is like that. MGS games are like this. I just see it as a challenge that you overcome... I don't see it as, "the BTs should be scary af the entire game or else it's broken."

I agree TC. My somewhat Jock phenotype has actually been a detriment to my career in tech. I see my fellow Jock peers rise rapidly in their careers in other fields like Finance or Law, and I just know they are laughing at me for not being able to keep up. They won't ever understand the phenomenon in which I work, imho.

But your Equity can vest and you can achieve true betterness while contributing to society as Engineers do (well at FANG I guess you're making society worse but nbd imho). Law is laughable by comparison because there is nary any Equity. If you ace OCI and are in the right Clique etc then you'll make $$$ because of arbitrage but at what cost to your soul and society?
With that said, yeah Nerds definitely have to be assuming you're dumb. Like John Carmack just needs to strut into a room and Nerds KNOW he's the real deal because of how nebbish he is, it's a badge of honor. Some 6' guy who benches 220 is actually inferior in terms of phenotype, let alone genotype. No one cares what his GPA/major is, they just judge on phenotype. Very sad!

Love this game and everything Kojima does, fuck the haters. Finding optimal ways to deliver packages is addictive for some reason as you progress. It's not a "walking simulator," you do a lot of driving. You also battle and avoid terrifying supernatural entities. It's also got a ton of cutscenes and manages to be both "finished" as well as not terribly overwrought.
The first area has a lot of walking but is atmospheric, the second area is primarily driving followed by ziplining, it's not a walking simulator. And even if it were, who cares? JMO, YMMV.

Tech is the only way to transcend phenotype afaik. Even in the broader Engineering sector, 6'+ Engineers - especially those who lettered in a sport in college - are fasttracked to management and are wont to become CEOs. Sure, Nerd Engineers with no Jock cred can still do well for themselves, but they are still stratified based on Clique and have to bend the knee to Jockgineers and even the occasional High Loser like Cheney back when he ran Halliburton.
In tech, a bad phenotype is like a badge of honor since it telegraphs IQ at the far-right tail probably. When Gabe Newell waddles into the office, or when Zuckerberg wears tight T-shirts showing how weak he is, they are making a statement imho. Brother you self-taught Engineering, all you have to do now is go on job interviews and ace them and you'll make $400k like me. If you have legit crippling anxiety and don't mind screwing your brain up with side effects, you should dabble in some anti-anxiety meds. JMO, YMMV but I think $400k/year is worth having altered brain chemistry.

i fucking hate my job, barely make enough money to save even a tiny bit of it every paycheck, I am exhausted and feel like shit every single day. I have a bachelors degree but its never done me any good whatsoever (english degree lol). And theres no good jobs around me in the rural south.

Graduate Student = "Master student," as you call it.
The only goofy poll option is "grade school," but this is basically a regional thing. In Canada, people just say, "Grade 12" the same as they would say "Grade 1." In most parts of the U.S. "grade school" basically refers to elementary/intermediate school i.e. K-5, with middle school and HS being seen as discrete entities.
Really they should've just had one option for "Student" and been done with it but the poll was probably created by a low-GPA NEET haha jk.

If this was a decade or two ago I would wager some of those users in the poll were teenagers or underage users. Since this is GameFAQs in 2021, most of those votes are definitely adults in their late 20s and older, and there is a chance a number of them were unemployed before the pandemic.

I believe that many GameFAQs users have caught on to the fact that life is fundamentally meaningless, so why bother? Many also have subpar phenotypes which make job interviews a challenge. Theyre better off just doing SSDI and debating video games on the internet or perhaps playing some. If you really want to dedicate yourself to this lifestyle, jobs just get in the way imo. Imagine being able to play every Gamecube or PS1 game ever made, wagecucks cant do this imo. Anyway, back to my point, life is fundamentally meaningless and wagecucking is a joke, I wouldnt get out of bed for less than $400k.
