Either it's everywhere or abiogenesis was one of the most staggeringly improbable event in the universe. Can't really speak to intelligent life, though. Some throw out the Drake equation and I guess it's someone convincing, but it does seem a tad... simplistic and pulled out of thin air to really be a great argument. It's more of a thought experiment than an argument. Also it's kind of ambiguous on what people mean by intelligent life. Does it have to be at least as smart as humans or would space crows count? If space crows count then how far down the intelligence ladder can we go? More options. What if the environment is so hostile that camoflauge and silence is selected for, and anybody who would draw attention is begging for extinction? --- Nightwind "the wind has no destination" |

If you are vegan due to animal cruelty reasons, then sure, I guess this would work. Vat grown meat is 0 fat, MUCH healthier even then peanuts. Pure mussel fiber. It had both longer recording per tape and higher resolution data storage, so for those whom those two things mattered, it was invaluable. .. Course, winXP is still in use too, so..
