Saw the movies, but didn't see what connected them.

Actually figured out the connection for purple without having to stare too long.

I had a corporate, computer-toucher job in footwear for 3 years. They used the fact that it's a "cool" industry to overwork and underpay most of the workforce. And then we move on and are much happier.

Spent a lot of time confused before just trying to find any words. My first hit was sharp, and I got the wonderful feeling of knowing exactly what the theme was, while knowing that I knew nothing about music. I could have gotten the spangram alot sooner though, since it did just end up being a normal word.

I found brainteaser using riddle as well first. Then eventually figured out I could turn left instead. I also made things harder for myself by spelling "quandry".

Very challenging one.

Right off the bat, I saw 5 metric prefixes, and 3 sauces. My instinct was to put pico with the sauces, but none of the remaining words looked like they could even be a sauce.

Somehow a deep part of my mind remembered that poodle skirts were a thing, which took mini out of the prefixes, and everything started falling into place. Didn't get purple though.
