Purely gaining weight, yes, but that's not all there is to muscle hypertrophy. Rep range, time under tension, volume, and rest times make a difference.

Oh yes, I agree. Depending on how you workout will definitely make your muscles look different. I meant from a purely weight standpoint, eating is what makes your muscles, "bigger" and increases that number on the scale. Now better, or how you want them to look, is all about the workout rep ranges, exercises, all that good stuff, etc. I agree with you.

There really isn't an end all, fix all diet or routine. While different foods will affect you differently as far as body composition and energy goes, it essentially boils down to calories in vs. calories out.

That being said, download something like the myfitnesspal app and find out how many calories you need to lose a pound or so a week and go from there. Add some extra cardio at the end of working out, etc. all that good stuff.

Oh you and everyone else absolutely can blame the men for having no fucking idea of how to address women as an asset to the company and not a pair of legs and boobs. Of course they're scared out of their minds when their whole corporate world view has been flipped on its head and thank God for that.

For myself, I've had no problem for the last year and a half of consulting. Been in multiple meetings where it's just myself and a female representative of the company and oh shit, have been managing just fine when I focus on the actual work I'm there to do.

This kind of "company policy" crap will pop up from time to time with businesses who are far too reactionary but will even out as Day Zero of the MeToo movement gets further and further away.

Then men will get too complacent, go back to their old ways and we'll be right back to where we started just as when this all flared up in the '90s. It's getting slightly better each time but it's likely we'll have at least two or three more of these movements in the next several decades before we actually get close to solving it.

Still, women in business say they are facing a resulting "chilling effect" on their relationships with male colleagues and supervisors.

They reported a noticeable decline in invitations to meetings, business trips and dinners gatherings considered invaluable for career advancement.

More importantly, they added, senior executives are increasingly hesitant to mentor female employees.

It is a development that poses a threat to women who aim to rise to the highest corporate roles at a time when two-thirds of the companies included on the TSX 60 index of Canada's largest companies did not include a single woman among top earners last year, according to a Canadian Press analysis.

Most of the dozen women who spoke with The Canadian Press were hesitant to discuss the unintended consequences of Me Too because they didn't want to detract from the progress they hope the movement will make towards improving opportunities for women.

They fear the misguided actions of some male leaders could instead reinforce the door to the old boys' club, further hindering the hard-fought progress made by the few women able to climb to the top of the corporate ladder.

Chaperones at business meetings

Lori McIntosh flew to Miami in early spring to meet with a client of 12 years, only to be told the company no longer allows its executives to take meetings alone, including with her.

I actually see stuff like this in work. In fear, including myself at times, a lot of men won't make meetings 1 on 1 with a woman or I've seen men bolt out of elevators if I woman gets in with them. It's a messed up situation all around, but I really can't blame the men. It's unfortunate because it does undermine the importance of the MeToo movement.

IIRC, I ended up getting a 10/10. I want to say it was u-substitution for integration, and I kicked butt during that part of calculus, so that's what I'm going with.
