I went to a gas station and bought a drink and a cookie. The total came out to $3.67. I paid with a $20 because I couldn't find a smaller bill. After the cashier rang it up I found a $5 in my pocket.

"Can I pay with the $5, and you just give me $15 less in change?"

"No, that might make my drawer over or under or something because it's already telling me to give you $16.33" she says, handing me 3 $5's, a $1, and some coins.

It sounds like they didn't actually fix this issue and he's still in pain for the same reason. There isn't enough information to conclude that this skit is scenario A. And the comments are full of people falsely accused of scenario A when they're doing scenario B.

Also, I don't actually care about hospitals being used as candy shops. Go ahead and go to the oxy store to get oxy, idgaf. Go directly to the pharmacist without bugging any doctors or nurses or prosecutors or defense attorneys or judges or cops. Just delete all the laws limiting what you can put in your own body.

Being in pain for 21 days is a long time. Even 8 days is a long time. "As much OTC painkillers as you need" might cause liver or kidney damage.

The reason they're mad that the ER doc didn't diagnose them with cancer is that the doctor sent them away without any sort of treatment, including pain relief. They're not going "time for my cancer screening, I can get that done at the ER!" They're in pain and they want to be seen now. If you're in enough pain to put your life on hold to make it stop, it's an emergency by all but the most tortured definitions.

Also, a lot of people are mentioning gallstones and burst appendices, which are ER things that were missed. From these comments alone I have learned that if someone complains of severe abdominal pain you check the gallbladder, appendix, ovaries, and uterus.

I didn't have a PCP for years. And a lot of these people in the comments were also being dismissed by their PCPs. The general public doesn't have intimate knowledge of how the medical industry works. They're in pain, they go to "the hospital." It feels like an emergency so they go to the ER. You don't have to be an idiot to have big gaps in your knowledge about the different types of facilities and the SOP for getting the treatment you need.

And it's silly to deny someone pain meds just because you haven't pinpointed the specific problem. Even if you can't yet fix the underlying issue you can make the ouch go away in the interim.

This YouTube doctor is like "all my patients fake medical conditions for pain meds"

All the comments are like "you sound like this doctor who labeled me a drug-seeker because he couldn't instantly identify the source of my pain and then my appendix burst"

I was given FSTs about 7 or 8 years ago. I was driving back from karaoke or something. It was raining and I was in a kinda weird area (it wasn't, like, a highway, it was a bunch of little streets intersecting with each other or something idk) so I was having a hard time seeing the lines. I had had maybe 2 drinks over the course of several hours. I was nowhere near drunk during the entire course of the night. When I got pulled over, I explained all this to the cops. They asked me do field sobriety tests. I complied. They could see that I was sober so they let me go.

Knowing what I know now, that seems like a mistake. I probably should've just refused? I don't know if they would've arrested me for that or what. I know the advice is "never do FSTs" but I don't know if I just had some ridiculous crazy freak experience with unusually sympathetic cops, or if I just got lucky, or if doing FSTs can indeed help you despite what every defense attorney on earth says if you are indeed sober.

Has anyone else been field sobriety tested? Were you sober or under the influence? Were you released or charged with something?

What are you supposed to do with Man-Thing? Play your early-game cards in 2 lanes and then drop him on the third? Play him on the lane where your opponent put their early drops? Does anything other than that side-switching 3/-3 synergize with him? Super weird, not a fan tbqh

This deck's so much fun, play all the big-power cards with downsides and then play cards to overcome the downsides. Symmetrically turning off on-reveal and continuous effects is good for you and bad for the opponent.
The 6/15 you can only play on the left is gonna be awesome when I get it, sometimes you don't even have to sacrifice the right side to Sentry if you get Deathlok out.

Might replace the discard effects, they're too random unless I want to play them where Cosmo is. Ebony Maw might be too much but man it feels good to get a 1/7 out with no downsides. And sometimes 7 extra power on turn 3 is enough to win the zone. Or to induce your opponent to win the zone, so you can win the other 2 in the second half of the game.

Blindness is on a spectrum and usually blind people can see a little bit, but this streamer's eyes don't work at all.

He's actually doing pretty well. He plays a lot of games with accessibility settings for players with visual impairments. For Forza Motorsport, he has a "copilot" that basically calls out what curve to take. Also, as he deviates from the racing line, the car's engine noises pan left or right to tell him how centered it is.

It's a really interesting stream if you've ever wondered how blind people can play video games, or if you've ever wondered how game devs make their games accessible.

You don't understand what a "reasonable accommodation" is. Working from home is not a "reasonable accommodation" for an auto mechanic or a construction worker. It is a "reasonable accommodation" for someone who does chats and emails, or software engineering, or graphic design, or phone sales, or whatever. An employer doesn't get to deny that accommodation on the basis that everyone else is in the office. They need to explain why that accommodation would cause undue hardship, and for the jobs I'm applying to it simply wouldn't.
