Did you like getting lost in Whirl Islands and then finding Lugia? Did you like figuring out the way to reach the top and catch Ho-Oh? Did you like using the bicycle and ride over the pits to reach Rayquaza?
Too bad. Nothing like this exists in SwSh. Not even close.
Just looking at the map design of the old games makes me sad because we will never get a new Pokemon game like how they used to be.
I want to backtrack. I want to use HMs (even as a Pokerides, who cares) to reach new places I couldn't before. I want to solve puzzles and get rewarded with a legendary

With that said
Game ia still charming. Gym missions were fun. Gym battles were epic with Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing. Wild Area is a great idea (need a little polish). Galaraian forms evolutions is a surprising mechanics that I enjoyed. Most new Pokemon design are good. They didn't spoil 90% of the game pre release. Oh and no random battles byt instead Pokemon in the overworld is the best feature from Let's Go and I hope it will be like this forever

Search for the Pokemon you want here
https://www.serebii.net/swordshield/maxraidbattles.shtml
Then enter the den listed and check if it can a HA or not
Bring a Trace Gardevoir so you can know if the Pokemon has a HA or not when the battle starts
To find the Pokemon just use the den exploit and waste hours, good luck

By the way, 4 Gmax Charaizard and all of them had Blaze. Fuck this, this will take weeks

Sadly, 9 of them does not have the Hidden Ability so...I think I might go for it?
All of them were easy to beat with the exception of Hatterene which is just broken. Causing confusion and having a STAB that hits every Pokemon? oh god

yeah the one major issue I have with FFIX is the battle system

it's slow as molasses (although I imagine the turbo button alleviates that somewhat) and the Trance system sucks

Oh there is no doubt the battle system is the weakest side of FFIX

But when it's up against the worst battle system ever, FFIX battle system is a masterpiece compared to FFVIII

That..sucked. It was something like 20 playtime hours.
I actually used the den exploit to get to 02/15/2022 until I got everything
Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Skwovet, Nickit, Wooloo, Yamper families and the 4 fossil Pokemon are unobtainable with their HA..for now

Coming up next is getting every Gigantamax form. Honestly it shouldn't be too bad..if what Serebii states is true that every Gigantamax is 5% chance encounter in 5 star raids
This means it's 1.75% chance per attempt..so once every 54 tries or so

But somewhere mentioned that it took him more than 1 year of den exploit to get Gmax Coalossal so...maybe I am getting something wrong here?
I also hope that they won't wipe the floor with me. 5 Star Hatterene was tough enough with it's AOE move that almost OHKO the 3 NPC Pokemon, so can't imagine just how much worse a GMax Hatterene is...

Oh and also there are 3 GMax that are exclusive to Sword or I need some extra hard work to get them online so those 3 are going to suck pretty badly
Not to mention being unable to save scum them and having shit capture rate...

Beast Ball Eternatus GET!

I was able to use a currently running Japanese Mystery Gift code event to get a Beast Ball prior to the post-game.

It also took longer than I expected to get a Modest or Timid nature on Eternatus, but I ended up getting Timid on back to back attempts (the first one had poor IVs on the non-31 stats). I eventually settled on keeping one that had 19/31/21/31/31/31 IVs, as getting 5 IVs would already be a huge challenge without the ability to control the nature with Synchronize.

OK this sounds more of a waste of time than anything I ever did

Do I need to get the Galarian forms with HA too? IIRC I didn't get the Alolan forms because breeding a regular one with a HA would produce a Alolan form with a HA
But I don't remember anymore and I don't feel like cleaning the dust off my 3DS to check
