I picked Ninja Gaiden 3 because OG NG3 is absolute trash. Razor's Edge is at least decent, but the original 3.... no.

How about Bowie from Shining Force II and Julian from Shining Force III?

I may be missing something from these two, but I don't think Bowie was ever destined to be the hero. Julian does have a Child of Destiny on his team, but he himself is literally an NPC in Shining the Holy Ark that wants revenge because Galm killed his father.

Fair enough. I was looking at it more as "not being seen as the hero afterwards", whereas Ramza was certainly someone known from the beginning.

Does Ramza from FFT count? Admittedly, he's not even recognized as the hero afterwards.

Oh no.... It has both colors.

Its body and head are shiny colors, but the feet and the tips of the tail and bangs are normal colors.

That is confusing.

Personal anecdote: I can definitely feel the difference when I'm on SSRIs versus being off of them.

Diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. If I'm off them for a few days, I feel more impulsive and I get irritable more easily. If I take any higher dose than what I'm taking now, I feel very unmotivated and somewhat lethargic.

Of course, I cannot speak for other people'a experiences.

You don't have any movement to stay above long enough to avoid touching the boss and its literally the length of the wall from where you're hanging down.

The body slam can actually be jumped over, though the timing is tight.

The attacks are avoidable. Just got to learn them.

You can kill at least some of those robots with shinesparks iirc. If not in the room, by building up speed running into it

At the very least, you can deal severe damage to one of them even if you can't get a second charge afterwards.

I've never been good at the Speed Booster / Shine Spark stuff, but I do like how useful it is in several boss fights.

I also have yet to play my Switch in Docked Mode.

Learning the Raven Beak fight (and relearning it for Dread Mode) was a fun exercise.

My only issue with the fight is that Phase 2 is a little long and Phase 3 is a bit short.

And that's why DeSantis is such an underestimated evil.

I really hope Bette Midler just honestly misunderstood that "people with a uterus" is referring to cis women, trans men, and nonbinary people who are affected by the right's attack on reproductive and bodily rights. Anti-trans hate has been pushed hard by TERFs, the right, and media, so it's easy to fall into anti-trans rhetoric without meaning to.

Let's hope she understands why people are pushing back.

7th Saga. Not so much of missing an item, but at a certain point, you can't backtrack and if you're underleveled, you get mauled.

Baten Kaitos Origins has a similar issue: the disc swap save immediately leads into a boss battle. Hope you prepared beforehand!

Sherlock Holmes: The Silver Earring. Generally, you have to talk to everyone and gather all items in each area before the game will let you move on. There was one item accidentally omitted from this check in the first major area, and if you miss it (i.e. get everything else first), then you're screwed and you won't realize it until Chapter 4.

Beyond the bad sound, the battles were just.... way too long. Too many QTEs for anything. Everything moved so slow. I got to Chapter 6 and gave up.
