Dante basically created a genre with DMC1 (stylish action, character action, whatever you want to call it) so he's pretty iconic in my book. Not in the top tiers but top 100, probably top 50.

I mean look at the general hype over DMC5 and how they're teasing Dante and how people are going nuts over every snippet of him showing up. People who don't even play DMC know Dante.

Keanu Constantine is super far off the mark but Peter Stormare's Satan in that is one of my favorite depictions of Satan in anything.

Matt Ryan's Constantine is so good and he didn't get a fair go at it.

New trailer! Lots of cool stuff, Sin Scissors are back from DMC1, Nero still has awesome finishers on bosses with the arm and can still do powerbombs, and Dante uses the motorcycle as a weapon in gameplay. That's something they originally wanted to do in DMC3 but they couldn't make it work so it's nice to see them bringing it back.

I hate driving and hate being stuck in a car so anything longer than like twenty minutes annoys me. Public transit would be a bit better and I could do longer but like 45 minutes would be tops.

Fortunately right now my commute is five minutes or less.

It's fun to play. I didn't have any control issues myself. I disagree that the characters were not memorable - Groose, Zelda, Impa, Ghirahim, Demise, all great. Backtracking doesn't bother me, especially not when I'm having fun playing the game. Demise and Ghirahim are also some of the best boss fights in the series.

LOL at "no plot", though, it's got more plot and setup than most Zelda games and literally sets up the lore for the entire franchise.

Basically the only real downside for me was the hand holding and I can ignore that pretty easily.

I outright stated that the worst thing about Skyward Snore is how it always kills its own pacing with filler. There are many other issues, such as terrible controls that may or may not properly respond to you, an extremely forgettable supporting cast (really, everyone but Groose is lame), no easy way to warp, excessive handholding to the point it's more of a guided tour than a game, not enough locations, no plot, and mostly boring boss fights (except for the one in the cistern).

I cannot fathom why anyone would like that game. It's a 3/10.

While I agree with that being a stretch, "he has no place in Smash" is bullshit. He has as much of a place as fuckin Snake, Cloud, Bayonetta and other shit. If they decide to put him in it means they can make him work, and it's not a stretch to see how he might work.

They have more of a place simply by virtue of originating in games.

Like I don't really have an issue with Goku but to say he has as much of a place as characters that actually originated from games is a little silly.

Plus it's only four episodes, not much time to show "Oh hey there are some good religious folk!" just to avoid upsetting people. The one priest was enough in that time frame, especially given he basically helps save the day.

Full Throttle is pretty well known around the site itself along with certain recurring trolls.

Troy Baker posted on the Last of Us boards a few times IIRC and I think there's been a few other VAs hanging around occasionally but not all the time.

That's too bad. The combat definitely isn't like, character action game deep but it's still pretty good, especially once you get more styles.

The big draw though is the super serious crime drama story juxtaposed with the goofy as fuck substories and world. Also 80s Japan.

The game's sound design doesn't get enough credit either - I spent some time in Japan when I was younger and the ambient crowd sounds around town are so spot on it's instantly nostalgic for me.
