Once theory I've read that seems kind of plausible is that Red Ventures slashed wages or benefits in such a way to make continued employment untenable. Would explain why the recent departures feel like layoffs without actually being such. Although it does sound like Ben has something else lined up, but is being really cagey about saying what it is for some reason

Ive seen a different, more positive theory that theres just an opportunity for employees to take some kind of severance when the company gets sold, so its a good time to get out of you were planning on getting out anytime remotely soon.

theres totally a financial reason.. they can make even more money by selling another $70 game and then putting a huge online thing into that game with even more monetization stuff hooked in from day 1 based on stuff theyve learned in the last seven (?) years and then everyone in the new game has to start over as poor people and buy a ton more currency to be cool again

Im kind of disappointed in this. Its like the news about iO making a Bond game, except if iO didnt get to finish their Hitman trilogy first. I need a third full Wolfenstein, dang it

(also Im just not enthused about an Indiana Jones game.
Theyre a good dev, so they could definitely surprise me, but i dont know what you do to set IJ apart from an Uncharted game other than forcing in a whip to a game that would mostly feature combat against people with guns so how often are you really gonna whip anyone?

I think there was another 3D Indiana Jones game back on the 360? Maybe Ill look that up to see how much whipping is involved)

its deleted now, but he had posted a couple screenshots of the dead lady from the capitolss Twitter.
one of them was her at like 2k followers with a retweet of Lin as her top tweet, the other was her at like 20k followers with an earlier retweet as her top tweet

Lin somehow got it in his mind that the first screenshot was taken more recently because the tweet shown in it was more recent than the tweet shown in the second image, and he wondered how she lost 18k followers overnight and maybe it was photoshopped or her account was altered to make him or her look bad by linking her to Lin and also he thinks shes not dead (???)

anyway, the point is the second image showed an earlier tweet because by the point the screenshot was taken Lin had been banned from Twitter so her retweet of him had been removed.
He developed a conspiracy theory because he just doesnt understand how Twitter works.

I pointed this out in his replies and the responses to me were split between upvotes and people telling me to fuck off.
