I'm also struggling just to level up. I never had that problem in Dark Souls, I could always get a good number of souls from wherever I was. In this the little guys barely give anything and the big guys crush me. I explored a whole southern peninsula, killing what I could, and by the end of the journey I had 6000 runes.

Theres a lot of little shit around you can pick up as youre traveling and sell. Its mostly only worth 10 runes each, but it adds up. And smash all the glowing skulls on the ground for basic glowing runes worth 200. It all seems to respawn, so theres like infinite little bits of free rune around.

yeah I went prisoner too and have been kinda bummed by how much faith stuff Im finding

doesnt help that the hub has a miracle seller but not a sorcery seller

I found a sort of mini dungeon that is a mine, its called Morne Tunnel.

Its in a weird little valley past four giant poisonous flowers. Its like directly West of the Castle Morne Rampart grace site, very slightly East of the minor Erdtree.

Ive run into like three or four bosses that I can get like 75% down but keep getting murdered by them

I encountered one boss that seems to only come out at night, so now Im thinking... are there others in places Ive explored that I missed because I was there at the wrong time?

Oh and its probably worth going though the gate past where you met the maiden at least for some distance because theres one of the items that increases your flask total. Theyre always near little glowing trees, so it should be prettt obvious when you come across it.

Dont be afraid to just rush through stuff on horseback. You can just blast past a lot of enemies if you want to check out whats beyond them.

Yeah I think I got a shield from them and definitely a helmet. Maybe boots too. Got some gear from another human-type enemy in the like southeast? also.

t. I dont know if theres not much equipment early on by design or if I just missed everything though.

Ive done a lot of exploring and just beat (I think) the first major boss, and the only reason I have hand armor is because I bought it. Ive found almost no equipment that wasnt dropped by an enemy.

actually never mind, this game is garbage

just had a weird glitch where I called my horse and it did the animation of me getting onto the horse but then the horse just wasnt there so I was stuck floating for a while and then just abruptly died

(Its not really a big deal, I wasnt far from grace and I got my runes back, but it was annoying)

for anyone who hasnt started yet: be on the lookout for a merchant in a ruined churchesque where building pretty early after walking out into the open world

I totally missed him at first because I deliberately avoided the building thinking there might be enemies. He sells the item you need for crafting.

Cena is shockingly good, but I think (at least based on my experience, which is basically limited to Batista/Cena/Rock) that Batista is probably the most talented actor of any of them. I certainly have enjoyed the Rock in things (mostly F&F), but I think his range is super limited and Im basically disinterested in seeing him in more stuff.

channeling a counter spell then reanimating a giant crab feels pretty dang good

It gives you at least a vague idea of what to work with. Like I dont known specific heights and weights, but I have enough of a ball park idea of it that it could help me decide.
Like if I had it down to poison/ghost, I gusss Haunter and weight/height thing is going to make it pretty clear if its Gastly or Gengar.

I think hell be an antagonist toward Wakanda, but not a villain. My bet is hell be motivated by something going on with Atlantis to fill that role for most of the movie, but before the end hell discover that there is some actual villain responsible for whatever is going on and hell drop his beef with Wakanda.

theoretically Peacemaker is still tangentially in the Snyderverse, so it has to be a different universe from Doom Patrol since they both have Cyborg

anyway, this topic inspired me to watch Doom Patrol and wow I love Doom Patrol. I basically watched all of the first season within a day and now Im up to episode 2 of season 3. It somehow embraces the weirdest comic book shit even more than Gunns stuff.
