If 1 man in Changchun and 1 man in Kashgar both set their alarm for 8 a.m., the man in Changchun will wake up to the sun high in the sky, while the man in Kashgar will wake up in darkness. Ideally the time zones would be set up every 15 degree increments on either side of 0 longitude (Greenwich). But that would be a problem in some places. Like half of Denver being in two time zones the Bay Area being split, and same with Osaka. But though shit is all I got to say. --- |

Fun fact, North Korea use to be a lot better off financially than South Korea until about the late 70s. It's GDP per capita was higher in the 60s and 70s and its money was worth more. But when Mao died and Kim Il-sung went on to make North Korea produce everything in the country the economy stagnated and never recovered. Couple that with the Soviet Union falling apart in 1991 the country went out of the butt, and into the fuck. Also China and probably the Soviet Union would've jumped into that conflict had we tried to kick off another Korean War. --- |
