I don't think Survivor 41 was much better about it being more than "cast more African-Americans". We ended up with Ricard as the only Latino, and the three Asians we had didn't have any common heritage (Filipina, Sri Lankan, and Chinese).

That Innominat fight should've been a forced loss rather than being a timed battle, given how strong Insubstantiality is and how fast he can cast it. I struggled with that more than most fights, and you weren't even supposed to win this one.

Oscar did have a Mystic Arte, you just beat him so fast that he never got a chance to use it.

Also, all of Oscar's moves in that battle are the same moves Sorey has when he armatizes with a wind malak in Zestiria. It was kinda interesting to be on the other end of it after abusing the heck out of it in Zestiria.

It'll be funny if Akbar loses on something physical after all of the grief he's given Sheri.

Arun & Natalia seem to be the team that's struggled with the self-navigation the most, so the switch to that is probably one reason why they're struggling so much.

Honestly, I don't know what Akbar & Sheri were thinking doing the stair task. I'm surprised Sheri didn't take one look at that staircase and say "We're making sausages".

Lulu & Lala look like they improved a lot over the break, and are probably the biggest beneficiaries of the break (since the returning teams have accomplished nothing with their return). I'm not sure they were going to last much longer if the race hadn't stopped, but they certainly look strong now.

4. And here I thought Akbar/Sheri were goners after that Roadblock disaster. That probably wasn't as damning as the show made it look, which made Phil's punchline all the better. These two aren't long for the race. They were this sluggish in the first two legs too. And... Sheri is doing the Switchback next week? What!? (That's the same dam from the opening stunt of GoldenEye, which was previously visited in TAR14.)

5. Arun/Natalia getting lost probably cost them 30+ minutes and may have been related to the Speed Bump. Michael/Moe getting last in the first leg AGAIN had to really sting hard. Surprised at the elimination, though. That's kind of cruel, since one would think that they'd need a couple more NELs.

From what Michael & Moe said about the Speed Bump, it sounded pretty rough and was probably more responsible for Akbar & Sheri catching up than Arun & Natalia getting lost or Michael & Moe screwing up the Detour.

As for Australian Survivor, I'm surprised it's getting so much praise when it has so many of the same issues Survivor 41 did. In fact, in this most recent season the final four was 3 people who were voted out and saved by a twist, and the fourth person would've been too (replacing one of the other three) if he hadn't had an idol played on him. I think it also had someone get eliminated a couple seasons ago without even getting a single confessional, which is nuts.

Yeah, I kinda forgot that it was a while before Eizen actually revealed that. But you're right that anyone who played Zestiria would already know it. Or at least, they'd know Eizen is that Eizen when the illusion of his sister shows up in Lothringen.

The port looks like it wasn't destroyed at all. Lazy devs. They could re-do the port area. They did that way back in Symphonia. It looks perfectly fuctional, even though the people are spoiled and greedy. They also hate us a LOT. Even though we didn't do anything - it was Teresa's doing.

Yeah, but Symphonia actually had a budget. You'll find that this game didn't, if you haven't already realized it yet.

There has to be something, because putting a game with a point of no return in a multi-world randomizer is one of the silliest things I've ever heard of.

The whole true name thing is kinda poorly explained anyway. Eizen has one (and it's one that his sister is familiar with if the letter is anything to go by), even though he's never made a pact with a human. I suppose he could've given it to himself, but the game never goes into detail about that.

And yeah, the game is a little prone to crashing on PC. It happened to me a couple of times, but I luckily never lost anything important.

Herbs do regrow. The way they work is that they're linked to you picking another herb, so they'll regrow as soon as you pick that specific herb. They probably don't mention this mechanic so you don't abuse it.

Their bio says that he's a quarterback. But either way, a QB or WR at Army isn't really going to be relevant, given how Army rarely ever throws the ball (they threw the ball 110 times this year, and that's probably above average for Army)

There's something there that's very much important to Berseria, but it's a massive spoiler so I won't go into much detail other than saying that the synopsis must have been extremely high-level if it didn't mention that.

I don't see a QB from Charlotte on Army's roster, so I think he just ended up going to West Point and didn't play football.

I don't think Connie & Sam had any of those either.

I'd also like to point out that this season was cast and began filming prior to the diversity mandate and there are only two teams where both members are white. Combined with the already diverse casts of TAR32 and S39, BB was clearly the biggest issue of the three prior to the mandate.

Yeah, Winners at War was limited by its premise, and even then they invited back every minority winner except Vecepia, although some of them declined.

Honestly, I wouldn't have minded them just putting Lulu & Lala out of their misery. It looks like they're staying at the train station overnight, so that's a chance to catch up at least, but they've looked so hopeless so far that I'm not confident in their ability to not fall behind again.

Also, I'm convinced Caro & Ray are one of the teams that don't come back after the shutdown. I can't see that relationship lasting a year and a half.

I don't know if they intended you to have played Zestiria beforehand, because a lot of the stuff in that last segment is either something you'd already know from Zestiria or it references something from Zestiria. In fact, Lothringen is a returning location from Zestiria, but it's known as Lohgrin there.

Also, what was that fake bootlist that said Tiffany won? Was it accurate except for that, or did it fall off from that point?

Yeah, they did the winner dirty in the edit. Probably the worst winner's edit other than Jenna or Natalie White.
