From: TheConductorSix | #035 Isn't Square the worst company ever at this point in time?
It's been 8 years since they made something I enjoyed. Blizzard has given me Diablo 3 which is amazing. Activision gave me my Call of Duty Black Ops. EA has given me Fifa and Madden.
Square gave me FFX in 2001 and FFXI in 2004 and since then... Hey man, without Square, you wouldn't be able to play an FFIV remake.
So I take it you're opposed to verification emails too? I'm unopposed to taking 30 seconds to verify whatever. I am opposed to taking upwards into 3 days. It says it's "usually faster" but that gives no time frame. That could mean 2.5 days which is still dumb.
From: Aecioo | #011 It's not terrible since it's being used to stop botters buying more accounts when they get banned.
but then again they're banning botters because they don't want inflation to ruin their RMAH, so... And yet the way botters sell gold is in general chat which the game now forces you into everytime you enter the game. Maybe there's no demand for it now that the RMAH is out (haven't played since) but that annoyed the piss out of me.
From: WaIker | #005 Outside of the issue that we fixed, digital purchases do require a review period before they kick over from Starter to Full editions. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it is a necessary step to combat fraud and other malicious activities that can weaken everyone's play experience.
The delay is no longer than three days, and is often much quicker than that. Hang tight. :) Or... or... you can combat fraud by punishing those that are frauds once you find out they are. You know, NOT punish the innocent.
From: Anagram | #268 Because Dragonite was Lance's signature pokemon, and Lance was an important trainer - it's one thing to reuse Onix despite it being Brock's signature pokemon, but when every dragon trainer busts out Dragonite, there's a problem.
Also - I'm a little disappointed that we're getting another dragon champion, I won't lie. It's not a huge deal or anything, but we already had a dragon champion. It's true. We get it, dragon types are strong. Personally, I like it when the champ has a variety of types. I guess Iris is kind of that, but she's already established as a Dragon trainer. And like I said, at least give her an Excadrill if you're going to deviate from that.
What did they do to Iris? I like Aggron and Lapras as much as the next guy but either stick with all Gen 5 and give her Excadrill or stick with all dragon and give her actual dragons. We have plenty of every type that no trainer needs to have "replacements" or even duplicates anymore. Maybe it'll be fixed if she's in that gym leader tournament thing?
Because CoD characters, Gordan Freeman, and Master Chief are mid to low carders and most of the N9 are either characters that haven't been in a legitimate game in over a decade (Cloud, Sephy, Crono), Kiddy (Nintendo, MM, Sonic) or Solid Snake. The results of this site are different than what agrees with the typical gamer, so they get upset. Still, there's not really a reason to hate something that you can easily ignore.
From: HyperRaptor | #019 Reptiles the best. But between the two, dogs are better
They are social, greets you when you get home, and helps you on hunting. Cats just meows all the time, and scratches your furnitures and s*** everywhere My cat greets me when I get home and only ****s in the box.
A lot of stone evolutions are a lot worse off than just leaving them alone, at least design-wise. I'm sick of seeing all the stupid Gengar/Clefable theories all over the internet too. Clefairy isn't too bad, but Fable just looks like they stretched it out and slaped some non-functioning wings on it's back. Maybe it's just me but Clefable looks like a tired Peanuts character for some reason. It's pretty bad in battle too. It's in RU and is basically a worse Blissey. It's always kind of sad when you see a 3 step evolution family that is still not terribly useful. It's got no room to improve (unless of course they jump the shark and implement 4 step families). It'll almost certainly never improve unless all the Pokemon get rehauled in Gen 6 or it gets an absolutely ridiculous ability in future generations.
Upcoming: 271-On the box art of a main series game 270-He seems like a fun guy (heh heh) 269-A Pokemon that was temporarily used by Ash
I understand the first few gyms holding back, but seriously, by gym 6, they should have at least 5. It always makes me sad when one of my Pokemon just destroys the 8th gym leader.
And I'd be cool with his team being something that would be hard to take advantage of. Kingdra, Marshtomp, Gyarados (only one is weak to electric and one weak to grass).
Not sure how to describe it, but I guess I'd say pandering, but sometimes it's not so bad. Like in Big Bang Theory how the whole show is pretty much designed to make nerdy guys say "hey I know that thing!"
From: Emporer_Kazbar | #016 Sitcoms whose main humor is hypocritical humor. (IE: "There's no way you'll ever catch me wearing a dress" *next shot they walk in wearing a dress*)
I'm looking at you, The Nanny. I can't believe we named our go-kart "The Mauve Avenger."
Yeah it was kind of silly, but it got scrapped later, probably because of abilities later. Still since it's pretty useless anyway they could have gave it the same thing as a non-combat ability.
Oh, Shuckle, If this isn't the perfect example of a Pokemon that needs an evolution I don't know what is. If I understand things properly, Shuckle is hypothetically capable of doing the most damage out of any Pokemon out there via it having the highest defense in the game, as well as access to Power Trick and Rollout, which is kind of cool but incredibly impractical in use. Despite this, it's in the NU tier. It also had a cool ability in Gen 2 that changed berries into juice and juice into rare candy, but it was removed in later generations. I'm not a fan of it's design, the thing looks like if you squeezed a red colored mustard pack too hard and it exploded out random holes caused by the pressure. It might be cool if it got some kind of evolution so that it could actually get some use, but who knows.
Yay making the cotton pokemon a black version exclusive. I dunno, it's kinda cute, but there's a ton of cute fluffy pokemon, a grass one isn't getting much higher than this. It's made no anime appearances of note. I guess with prankster it could be fun with seeding, toxic, subing, etc. but I can't say I ever see myself using it.
From: swordz9 | #160 You can always see what route a Pokemon appears on in the Pokedex. Now you can go to a route with it and it tells you all of the Pokemon that show up on that route. It's more convenient. Oh, that's kind of cool.. Do you have to have seen the Pokemon to know? What about roaming Pokemon?
Psychological disorders being portrayed inaccurately. I'd imagine this is the case for pretty much anyone talking about anything in their field though.
