I will concede for people who like to play fps and mobas and mmos online a PC might be a good choice but for platformers and jrpgs it's not as much.

JRPGs are 100x better on PC since they aren't locked to 30FPS like they usually are on consoles

Platformers are better on PC because you can use the controller you prefer the most and get a significantly lower input delay than consoles

Consoles still have to worry about hardware failure

PC part failure is exceedingly rare and not having to care about generations at all is one of its biggest advantages and why they are so much cheaper to keep running.

Here @MarthGoomba when I stick a disc into my Xbox One S I know it will work unlike PC where there are no guarantees that the game will work.

A build with a 12400+6650xt is only $750, much much less than the $1k+ a console will experience over its lifetime

6 higher quality cores are more than enough for the next decade of games. CPU really doesn't matter that much for games anymore. Even a 12100 would be more than good enough for anything and that's a 4 core.

I have my PC setup for both couch and desk use. I can use a controller for my entire OS (which I prefer as the Wii U Pro has insanely good ergonomics)

I've had the opposite experience. Console games are always freezing or crashing whenever I try to play them, but PC never fails me.

This console gen has barely even begun but they're already a very poor value compared to PCs, and as new PC hardware releases their cost to beat consoles will only fall more and more

MPC-HC has been on life support since 2017, use SMPlayer

The last update was 25 days go. MPC-HC is still alive

The volume display in 22H2 doesn't cause frame skipping in MPC-HC when it pops up or disappears anymore, and I can finally disable the start/settings UI from hijacking my controller input
