One of the most fun JRPGs Ive ever played, beat it back to back twice. No nostalgia for the original either. Sure the ending chapter was shit but I dont see why everyones complaining about that when the core game is just so much fun to play

The dodge button being fucking useless is not a good mechanic imo. It only ever works if the attack is in a straight line.

So the death totals are still low. The states being focused on for their spikes are still averaging less than 100 deaths a day. Which isn't anywhere close to the 700-1k deaths a day NY had at that previous peak.

Is the virus weaker in US? Or it still just wait two weeks and see?

Deaths didn't get astronomical in New York until hospitals were at capacity. These states are quickly running out of room.

Game is a 10 for me so far after like 15-16 hours. And no I didn't beat it but it's been a hell of a ride so far and I'm completely invested in finishing this thing asap. People will talk about this game for years. This game does for story based games what gta has done for open world games in the sense that whether you hate it or love it, these game set the goddamn bar that many games will try and fail to overcome.

And I've been a fan of this technique since Raiden was secretly made the main character of mgs 2. Developing characters from the point of view of another character adds much needed perspective and adds a layer of complexity to everyone and their motivations. Makes you question what the overall greater good is to anything instead of defaulting to the mindset of "this is good because it's good for him /her" specifically

her and her friends seem like "good" people, considering the kinda world they live in

it's funny, because both Ellie and Abby both come off as villains rather than either one feeling like a hero...but despite what Abby did you Joel, she comes off as less "dark"

but tbf, she got her revenge, and she's with her friends, so she probably feels like things are settled

That's why I like this part as well. Can there truly be good people in an end of the world scenario? Giving 2 main characters gives us 2 perspectives to work from instead of just championing Joel and ellie because they're the only ones we've seen develop.

I'm not one of those people let down by a bad ending. Mass effect 3 is a top 5 game of last gen for me. Also I feel like 10 hours is enough to form an opinion of my experience thus far.
