Def features prominently in a couple scenes and when you drink from your canteen it says something "drink monster energy drink" or something. So I assume I'd hate it, while the sort of people who were obsessed with Metal Gear Solid (of which there were a lot) will love it. Sorta what I was angling at with my quasi- review above, though I specified Kojima fans over saying MG fans, because at least in MG there's stuff to do. | Mad_Max 11/09/19 5:24:04 PM #18 | I don't regret buying it, but after playing a few hours I can see why it's so divisive. The story and characters are intriguing, and I'm very interested in seeing the story through to the end, but the gameplay is very tedious, at least in the early portion. You're basically a funky UPS delivery man, but you have to dodge ghosts. That's... pretty much it. The terrain is gorgeous and invites exploration, and in certain chapters rewards exploration, but it gets repetitive. I haven't found a way to engage in combat, but my brother who is further along than me says there is some combat, and that it's not very satisfying. Also - and I guess this should be expected with a Kojima game - but holy shit... cutscenes. There's a lot of them. So I'd say if you're the kind of person who enjoys an original story, likes exploring, and enjoys stealth-styled games, you may enjoy DS, but I wouldn't recommend anyone rush out and buy it unless you're a hardcore Kojima fan. --- Terminal Crazy https://imgur.com/R9TrmGD |
