I don't know how the hell Twitch works, someone explain how I get this Fat Black Chocobo.

  1. Have a Twitch account
  2. Visit one of the streamers on the shortlist whilst they're playing FFXIV.
  3. Click on the 'Subscribe' button, then choose to gift subscriptions rather than subscribe yourself.
  4. Gifting 4 subs is enough for the mount.
  5. You should get a notification on Twitch eventually with a code to be redeemed in the usual way on the Mog Station.

The list itself looks odd on first glance, since a lot of popular and/or well respected community streamers have been overlooked, but the working theory is that SE didn't include anyone who shows ACT on screen.

I always try to commend DPS these days, provided they aren't giving me a reason not to. Healers (and to a lesser extent tanks) get enough undeserved lazy commendations as it is.

I'll believe anyone from the Arcanist's guild ever so much as making an appearance again after level 30 when I see it.

I believe the DC with the most B8er's on it is Primal, then Aether, then Crystal. In terms of individual worlds, I can think of at least 10 of us on Lamia, but that matters less than the DC you're on, since you can make parties with anyone on your DC now. You have to be on the same world to be in the same Free Company (guild) though.

Wherever you go, if you and your friends are planning on starting on the same world, I'd recommend one that is currently 'preferred', as there are very nice bonuses for starting here. A quick look at the servers shows that, at the time of this post, Brynhildr and Marlboro are currently preferred worlds on Crystal, for example.

I just wonder when I'd even have an opportunity to have 7 other people there at the same time to ride pillion. Hunt trains? Good luck getting full credit in the time it takes everyone to get organised and on board if it's a remotely quick train!

As Ushiro said, the final MSQ dungeon in Shadowbringers has two of them -- one of the second boss, and a "soft" one for the third boss where you'll eventually run out of safe spaces to move.

A few weeks ago I had a levelling roulette 'experience' in The Aery where we wiped 4 times on Nidhogg's enrage before the WHM, who had been gradually losing her mind over the hour we were in there, announced that she couldn't take it any longer and left.

For context, along with me and her there were sprout WAR and DRG (who I strongly suspect were queued together) who I was amazed had gotten has far as this playing as they were. The tank wasn't too bad, but they never used their AoE once, and would attack each mob individually to get aggro on it. I tried gently pointing out to him that something like Overpower and Mythril Tempest would be more efficient, but it went ignored. It was just as well that he was going a single pack at a time, because me and the healer would constantly pick up aggro.

The Dragoon though... man. He was every single cliche of bad DPS (apart from flaming in chat anyway. Both were silent the entire dungeon apart from the DRG asking for a raise during our 4th final boss attempt.) Given how little damage he was doing I don't think he was using anything except his basic combo, other than using LB1 immediately every, single, time it came up. He wouldn't move out of AoE's so the healer was constantly babysitting him, including the Scarlet Prices, which you can't outheal without Benediction, so he was constantly dropping there. Since DPS was proving to be an issue, I begged him not to waste our limit break so it could be used during the add phase, but nope.

So tl;dr, yes you can very easily die to enrage mechanics on normal difficulty content if half the players refuse to listen and refuse to learn.

It's funny how polarising ARR Shiva is among the fanbase. It's fairly well regarded by casuals and non-hardcore players, but Shiva EX consistently ranks among the worst fights in the game for hardcore players!

Also went to check the behind the scenes and learned it's fucking Koji. What a troll

Yeah, I'm still impressed Soken has the capacity to play guitar and sing in the Primals too whilst also being lead composer of the entire game.

I always had it in my head that the reason Hayabusa wasn't in Smash yet was because Nintendo would approach Team Ninja enquiring about including him, and the reply to come back would be, "OK, but have you considered Kasumi?"

Yeah, I didn't do the Stormblood optional trials until Shadowbringers was already out, so it wasn't current content any more, and I remember not even bothering to directly queue for them. I just waited until I rolled them in the trial roulette, so I ended up doing that story the 'slow' way.

The Ninja questline is good just because of how tonally different it is from the others. It's pretty much a Japanese farcical comedy/Saturday morning cartoon plot.
