BF and similar areas in other Pokemon games have always been hugely frustrating to me. I don't think I've ever made it to the 50 wins you need for a star on your trainer card or whatever.

Applied math isn't useless, but it probably wouldn't be as useful as a Mech E degree if that's the thing you want to do (I imagine it could be more useful in a finance-like area, especially if it was focused in statistics-like classes instead of a bunch of calc stuff). I wouldn't give up on it though; it's possible that you could get hired with the AM degree if you can convince them that you know the material taught in the relevant classes, though that may require taking a few more Mech E classes anyway.

I think the important thing to realize is that different majors require different skills and so difficulty really depends on the person. I can see someone who is great at math being a terrible with history, for example, if they're not very good writers. I guess that's true. I'm destroying physics and math, but I think I would die if all of my classes involved writing; I'm not bad at it, but I'm very bad at focusing on writing so it takes me a ridiculously long time to finish papers and lab reports. I have to echo Ness's sentiments though; if you're failing both orgo and physics that leaves what, biochem? If that's the case, you really might as well be doing bio where you won't have to deal with quite as challenging classes. Pchem will basically be quantum and statistical mechanics, which will not be fun if you can't get the basics down.
