It really does feel like it's an over reaction in your part, but what would I know? If this is real, I hope things work out for you.

I'm not even really talking about him. It's the guys that predicted it, and it's exactly what I've been told too. I thought just finally being with someone would change things. I've been being stupid, everyone here knows how it would turn out if I were ever with anyone.

So many. I guess the biggest would be not just packing up and leaving when I could afford to do so. I regret not being more sociable in school, I was an outcast, but maybe if I tried harder then I wouldn't still be in such a sorry state.

I want to say 3-4, but recently whenever I look at myself in the mirror I try to convince myself that I'm looking at someone else. I know it's dumb, but when I manage to do so I can think to myself for a moment that I look ok. So I think, if I drop the bias against myself, maybe 6-7? Idk, it's weird and I feel dumb saying so. >_>

I see where you're coming from now. Trust me when I tell you man, some people make it look natural or easy, but it really isn't. I've had my own fair share of problems and failures with women growing up.

Of course, I expect most people have. I also expect that those failures were balanced out by successes too. Still, assuming you've had successes, which I do since you only mentioned problems while growing up(I'm guessing you had things sorted out by early 20's). You likely started dating in high school, probably lost your virginity then too. You grew to know what it's like to be with someone, what it means. To me, there's just a big part of my life that's missing. There's nothing there. Seeing everyone else here talk about how great it is, and how easily they could out and get laid or find a new gf hurts. I want to have that part of my life, to live it and know what it's like.

I always had the mentality that I deserved a chance like everyone else, but I realized that it doesn't work like that.

So, you don't think everyone deserves a chance? That makes sense, because not everyone has one. I guess I'm just one of those people.

I learned that relationships are not a method to obtain happiness, they are a way to share your own happiness with somebody that is special to you, and your shared happiness slowly evolves into trust and love over a period of time.

That's a nice way to look at it, but does that mean only happy people can be together? Is it wrong to think that maybe someone would be willing to share their happiness with me someday? Am I wrong to think that if someone loves me enough to share their life with me, that I might just be a bit happier myself because of it? That my self esteem and confidence might improve, and I might just be able to have a little bit of happiness for once. It's ok, I've been told already how wrong and selfish it is to think that way... I'm not worth being with. I never will be, I really need to learn to just move past this.

Yes it's easiest to do this as friends when you both share a mutual interest for each other, but it's not impossible with a stranger either.

I have no friends. I've never had a real friend in my life. All I have are my closest family members who hate me, one of which literally wants me dead. Aside from posting here, them telling me how worthless I am and how pathetic they think I am is the only interaction with other people that I have.

It takes practice and failure, but it will happen eventually. Just be the kind and compassionate person you know you are, share your happiness, and the rest will fall into place, like it really does feel natural.

Dude, I'm 34 years old. It hasn't happened yet, not even close. Never even so much as held hands or gone for coffee with anyone. It's not just going to fall into place. I'm seriously glad you don't seem to have any kind of issues like this, but once hope dies, it's dead.

No, I've only been to two and I disliked them both. First was my cousin's and I was only invited because she wanted literally everyone she knew to be there and my mom forced me to go. Next was my brother's, he asked me to be his best man so I couldn't really decline to go without causing problems. It was awful too, having to be up in front if a room of strangers all taking pictures and video. Ugh, I got out of there asap once it was over.

Sell those glow stones. They're abundant, mostly useless, and are comparatively worth more than diamonds(since the amount you can trade for a diamond sells for more than the diamond does).

That's the difference between an act and and reality, you can't tell either apart from one another through a screen. A lot of us go through painful and depressing things in life, things we normally keep locked up inside, and you could never tell by just looking, much less by what or how they post on this website. Some people are very comfortable being vocal about their flaws or misfortunes, others not so much.

Don't let it get you down. Life may be treating you bad, and yeah it can be unfair or cruel, but you gotta make the best out of it with the tools you have.

I'm not saying I believe everyone has perfect lives, or doesn't have hardships. I know everyone has their own struggles and issues to fight with. It's just that this one part of everyone else's lives just seems to naturally fall into place and they manage to find someone. I'm not saying that person is good for them, or they're a perfect match, but they find someone who wants to be with them anyway. It just seems so natural and easy for most people to find a partner. There are others here like me, who just can't manage to find somebody to give them a chance, it hurts. Then the others who do date/sleep around treat it like it's nothing. Its just so frustrating.

I was always closed off about my problems until about 4 years ago. I mentioned a couple of the things in my life, and was greeted by a wave of support. I was encouraged to open up about my life and let it out. Then I got used to getting support and it became a habit to talk about my problems. Now I can't seem to shut up, and everyone is sick of hearing about it now. I feel like I'm just worthless to everyone. Aside from the initial wave of pity, no one cares.

I tried medication, but it gave all kinds of side effects. I was in therapy too at the time, but dealing with that, my life, and the constant cycle on new meds and a different set of side effects every other week made things worse. Once the doctor accidentally canceled my next appointment and the therapist said I was a waste of his time, I called it quits.

I really struggle to get out of the house and have a lot of invasive thoughts. I was also on anxiety medication, and it helped control my panic attacks, but I've been off them too. I'm struggling to find a job and I don't know what to do. Ugh...
