Also, Hansen doesn't do this on his own. All the chat logs were handled by perverted justice, and the arrests were handled by the police. The only involvement Hansen had was talking to the predators before they were arrested. He couldn't really do this off camera because he would need a team to handle the arrests and the chat log

Also a big part of it was supposed to be raising awareness of online predators since this was a lot earlier in the internets life
