At that point, it's back down to Celsius vs Farenheit.

Kelvin vs Rankine only matters if you care that the starting value of your Temperature Scale starts from 0.

Surprisingly, the buttons are fine, even the placement isn't bad.

The grips on the back are at hard right angles which make it uncomfortable compared to OG 3-button Genesis controller and the D-Pad feels like it's plastic on plastic rubbing and inaccurate as hell.

Start & Mode buttons are fine

There's a reason people say the Saturn's controller is one of the best controllers. The d-pad is sooo nice. Even better than the Genesis controller. Never realized until I bought a Saturn couple years ago.

I concur, I even love the NA Saturn Controller. That D-Pad was AMAZING.


Too bad the shoulder buttons are garbage, but that's end user fixable.

I actually just ordered and received a Super Famicom and extra SNES controller. I've played all the big Nintendo SNES titles years ago on my PC. I didn't get into Nintendo as a kid until the N64 so I'm about to deep dive into the SNES game catalog.

Both are legendary systems for good reason.

But I never knew what I was missing out D-Pad wise until I tried the Sega Genesis & Saturn D-Pads.

My god, Sega was light years ahead of Nintendo and Sony when it came to D-Pad fluidity and accuracy.

And 6 face buttons really should be the standard instead of 4 IMO.

I don't have any usb port controllers from them. Both of mine are original port to work with my retro gaming setup/consoles. I do have a official US style sega saturn usb controller that was released like 15 years ago in very limited quality.

Lucky you, I didn't realize how good Sega Controllers were until I tried them myself, then I had a OMG moment where I didn't realize what I was missing till I tried it.

I was a SNES kid, so my standards for D-Pads and controller were based on Nintendo, and then PS1.

If only I got exposure to how good the Sega D-Pad's were back in the day, my opinions might've changed.

I own 2x of the Japanese Style Saturn Controllers.
I own 1x of the US Launch Style Saturn Controller
I own 2x OG Sega Genesis 3-buttons Controllers.

All using USB inputs with the exception of the US Launch Style Saturn Controller.

I'm looking forward to this release because it uses the Original Genesis Controller shape while still being 6 buttons with L/R shoulder buttons.

That's a design that Sega hasn't been done officially to my knowledge.

The internal part of the D-pad broke, although I managed to fix it by machining a similar piece and super gluing it back in. It works but it's a bit less responsive than it originally was.

But I've broken a couple other 3rd party controllers' d-pads / left sticks so maybe I have a heavy thumb or something lol

How strong is your thumb?

I've never broken a D-pad with my thumb before!

No matter how many Hadoukens or Shoryukens I input, it always seems to work just fine and not break.

Cool, but I wish their build quality was better, I have both the Saturn and SNES controllers and I've had problems with each of them within like a year of use, compared to my decades-old heavily played originals that still work great.

I have all their officially licensed Sega Controllers with USB connections and they've worked great for me. I haven't had any issues.

Retro-Bit has a Official License from Sega, so they've annouced that they're making a updated take on the classic Sega Genesis Controller

Based off the original Sega Genesis 3 button shape, they added in 6 buttons + L/R Shoulder buttons and a Start Button that is sorta blended into the button cluster


It's going to be interesting to see what the final version looks like.

No release date has been annouced.

But there's no legitimacy or existing fanbase for completely new strong female characters, so hollywood is hijacking legitimate movies with male starring characters to turn female.

Imagine what kind of uproar there would be if somebody in Hollywood wanted to turn "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" into "Buddy the Vampire Slayer" and starred a "Male Chosen One" to kill vampires instead of the original female "Buffy Summers".

If you don't write a lot then yeah, buying a fountain pen is silly. I assume AOC does a good amount of writing though.

I couldn't agree more. I got pulled into that and it was one of the biggest regrets of my life, and I say that as someone who had a "mild" fraternity experience. There was no sexual assault or bad hazing (some, and I don't approve, even if it was mild) and you didn't need to be rich. I'm not saying other frats are the same though, because unfortunately they aren't.

But like someone said, there's just toxic behavior that goes unchecked. Even if it's not the most abhorrent you got a lot of little things that add up over time, stuff like people saying little racist things here and there. It's hard to speak up cause you have so many other people there and it can feel like an echo chamber. It also sucks having your living situation tied to it, it's not like some other club where you can just decide not to show up anymore.

All the stuff about community service is a facade too. We had to do only like ten hours a semester, very few people went beyond the minimum. The "tradition" is meaningless and just means nepotism. I will admit some of the houses can be cool just from a design point of view but they could easily be turned into regular open student housing.

More reason to ban "Fraternities" & "Sororities".

From my personal experience, everybody I knew freshman year that pledged came out a worse person. And usually started saying the n word all the time (in Texas).

But many rich and influential people, including donors, did Greek life and will use their influence to preserve it. It's really up to them to make things change imo.

We need a Over-Sight organization that functions as a metaphorical "Sword of Damocles" over the heads of each politician / representatives.
