I think it's obvious that the dream of a Virtual Console for GameCube and 3DS is dead and isn't happening. It's either a port, remaster or nothing.

Shame that Nintendo turned down Night Dive Studios. They wanted to remaster Eternal Darkness (and still do) and GoldenEye.

Nintendo has revealed even more details about whats new in the Switch remake of Super Mario RPG, including an Easy Mode and SNES music option. This comes from the newly-opened Japanese website.

For those who are more interested in the story and arent as interested in battles (or a tough experience), theyll be able to select Easy Mode rather than the Normal Mode. You can switch between the two modes at any time.

Something else confirmed for Super Mario RPG is the ability to choose the original SNES music. Once again, this can be toggled at any point in the options menu.

As another new feature mentioned on the website, enemies youve seen so far get recorded in a bestiary.
During todays Nintendo Direct, it was also announced that post-game boss rematches will be included.

Square Enix says that for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, players will be able to transfer the monsters in their main party and reserves into the full game. The same holds true for the Star Ocean demo, which lets players start their adventure and experience the opening hours of the game. Finally, for Silent Hope, the entire first level of the Abyss is included.

I mostly remember Tomb Raider 1 and 2. I think Tomb Raider 2 was the first game I saw with AI fighting each other and my mind exploded.

That happened to me when I played the remaster of Turok 2. After all these years, I never knew the enemies could fight each other.

Well that explains everything.

Even TR veterans didn't like on how hard that game. Even your friend gave it to you out of frustration.

Especially if it was the PS1 version which messed up the save system.

Yeah, once you got the controls down pat, it was a beautiful thing. All the fumbling rookie mistakes of the early levels -- like trying to catch ledges at angles or falling off cliffs because of missed jumps -- disappear.

Still my favorite jump system. The player is given so much control, and the depth to the system beautiful.
