Unfortunately, got a call from the vet saying she took a turn for the worse. She was unconscious and could not be awoken,and it was for the best to put her to sleep. At least we found her alive so we could say good-bye.

Aubbie lost a good bit of weight, but she weighted at 33 pounds.

My arms were sore for carrying her that far, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

ALIVE!

I was searching the woods and came to the edge of a lake. To my right was a dip, and as I approached the the edge, I saw her sitting there staring out at the lake. Ten days after she has gone missing, and she was still alive. Some weeds were tangled tight around her back leg, but after cutting it off (weeds), I carried her a good mile and a half before a car passed by and carried us home.

Now Aubbie (dog) is at the vet. They have her hooked up to an IV, doing some blood work, and treating for worms. At least she is alive, but it is going to be a long road to recovery for her.

She disappeared Thursday morning, and I am afraid she went into the woods to pass away. Today found out a neighbor saw her Thursday morning, and she was not acting normal. The dog was walking around in circles, and I went looking into the under bush nearby. Before I gave up, I fortunately looked down and saw two footprints and a trail nearby. I followed it and found a couple spots where the grass had been pushed down. Unfortunately, I could not go any farther since I will need a machete to hack through the heavier bushes.

I fear that she was gone on Thursday, but I want to closure.
