I'd put "romance" anime at the very bottom though. 3 eps of ok romance, 7 episodes of things getting more fucked because people lack basic communication skills, 1 episode of everyone being the dumbest humans alive, then a final episode where they end up together but you can't feel good about it because the last 8 eps just destroyed their characters to the point you don't care what happens to them. It's the exact same every single time. It's awful. Battle shonen is painfully predictable and samey but at least it has enjoyable parts.Really like it so for I finally understand "get in the fucking robot Shinji". I didn't go into expecting a mecha anime I went in expecting drama and that's what it's been so far --- |
