I started easing back into training over the last two months. Luckily I have a set of dumbells up to 25 lbs, an oly barbell with sets of plates up to 45 lbs, and a power rack to squat safely in. I'm a bit in my head though because I feel my hip flexors firing much more than other squatting muscles, like they're stronger than what I'm trying to target and they're overcompensating.

You're probably right that I don't have the conditioning for it, though I figure starting light and working to failure will eventually get my conditioning back to where I want.

My calves, hamstrings, and glutes have atrophied since the covid lockdown and working from home became my paradigm. Is it time for me to finally nut up and attempt Super Squats?

Catch and train the pokemons you like. Optimizing your mons for competition is the fastest way to drain all enjoyment out of the games. Pokemon is meant to be an EASY, COMFY, CASUAL game.

Bioshock 1- Spiritual successor to System Shock 2, which is supposedly a very good game. Cool theme. Podcast-format storytelling before podcasting got crazy huge. A Themepark shooter.

Bioshock 2- Asset flip. Generally a better shooter. Minerva's Den is a standout DLC. The Sad Murder Dad game before the God of War reboot.

Bioshock Infinite- Don't play this. It doesn't exist, just like Other M.

She was, and still is, an immature person. We dated for like a year before the pregnancy happened. Not only was it a pretty one-sided relationship in that I was constantly taking care of her needs and not having mine met, but also I know she hasn't made much growth as a person since we were together. For most basic adult functions, she still heavily depends on whichever man she's living with at the time. Stuff like getting groceries, doing dishes, getting up on time for work, ect.

I've already had this experience. I stayed with her through the pregnancy, but she miscarried in second trimester. Major bullet dodge tbh.

Elon Musk gives people unqualified medical advice on his twitter. He amplifies conspiracy theories with seemingly no discretion. His damn cars have made driving where I live less safe.

Now he's warped twitter into a different beast entirely. What used to be (at its best) a tool to help us organize and communicate freely has become another monetized propaganda mouthpiece. The old internet is definitely dead, and this man has contributed substantially to its demise.

At first I wasn't going to, but I want to be a part of the Fallout survivors census.

I use their wikis sometimes when I'm forced to due to there being no better options.

Well, I would say it was the US Supreme Court that appointed Bush when they intervened to stop Florida's recount. You're right that the EC caused that, but I think at that point in time they were just the mechanism for defrauding the election, rather than the EC being the primary defrauder in 2016.

i also realized that if he lost, his ego would prevent him from conceding and peacefully transferring power to his successor. i called it months in advance. he would be willing to do ANYTHING in order to stay in office and maintain power for himself.

It's terrifying to me that more people can't see this about Trump, but also they can't see this about more career politicians in general.

This is not a universally true statement.

Yeah, it's just my general rule of thumb. I've forgotten a lot about biochem since college when I was living with biochem students who wouldn't shut up about their lessons. It's exhausting trying to actively listen to people who just spew jargon and assume you understand.

You're probably right, I'm just used to thinking in min-max mindset for stuff like this because internet groups for bodybuilding/weightlifting have an unhealthy fixation on optimal training and nutrition.

Horseshoe theory. The radical fringes of what we consider the 2D political spectrum actually gain more in common with each other the farther away from the "center" they move, even though they're supposedly moving in opposite directions. Someone who is close to radicalization is fertile ground for fanaticism, and once you push them past the margin, it becomes difficult to pull out of the rabbit hole, no matter how you enter it.

I consider myself very hard left. I'm definitely down some kind of rabbit hole. I could be very wrong, but either way the center is more wrong.

That's by design. People at the top of the pyramid profit more and easier by having this dichotomy of two bad options; both serve the ruling class' interests. It's just that one option is openly fascist while the other pretends to care about the masses.

Smoothies are less healthy than simply eating the foods unblended. Obviously getting a more complete nutrient profile will have positive results, but the more processing done to your food, the less overall healthy it is. The more processed your food is, the less your body has to work to digest it, which means the sugars (which all foods eventually break down into) more rapidly pass into your blood. Highly processed foods greatly contribute to diabetes because (i think) they result in much higher amounts of sugar dumping into your bloodstream at once.
