From past games like Layers of Fear and The Medium, video games that do not require headshots, chainsaws, or melee attacks to display true terror for gamers. The new combat system showed that we must let the past go, much like Silent Hill 2 taught us, and embrace the present. Only real fans with open minds will get it but in time we will welcome back the ignorant with open arms as they enjoy their 10th or 15th hour playing the wonderful, unnerving, and terrifying Silent Hill 2 Remake.
