Despite it's issues Destiny seems to have one of the most devoted fan bases in gaming. Destiny fans are extremely protective of Bungie and a lot of people seem to be straight up addicted to Destiny. It was (still is?) a culture war. It really started with my Bonita Anita and her tropes vs. Women, but the whole thing was set off with the Zoe Quinn scandal, sort of like WW1 and Gavrillo Princip.

Unfortunately, it radicalized a lot of gamers who I think up until that point were pretty checked out of politics or if anything liberal since up until then it was conservatives who attacked games and gamers.

There used to be a ton in Everett/Lynwood area back in 2011 when I used to work as a delivery driver in that area. Never went to one my self, but if you tipped them (and we're talking in the $80 - $100 range) they'd either mess around with other girls or show you the goods. As far as I'm aware none of them ever got popped for straight up prostitution but maybe some did, I don't know.

In any case, I think the only reason they took off so much in the Seattle Metro area is because they closed like all of the strip clubs except for Rick's in Lake City, and Lake City sucks. The clubs were way more affordable since most of the dancers wanted around 30-40 for a dance and you could usually haggle them down to 20-25.
