Oh dont get me wrong, from a psychology and scientific perspective it was fucking bonkers and amazing. I got a new respect for the way the brain operates and how it can create its own reality. If you guys ever want to hear a description of the whole trip and experience, i can crank that out one day. I literally thought I died and went to like three different forms of the afterlife ( Im agnostic by the way) and I saw stuff that will stay with me the rest of my life. Too lazy to find links but a number of studies within the past few years have shown psilocybin to have incredibly powerful, near-immediate anti-depressant effects on many patients. One dosing can have a dramatic effect that last weeks, time enough for many people to pull themselves out of a bad place and get back on track without daily medicines that are costly, take ages for effects to be noticeable, and don't have as dramatic of effects. Shrooms are as easy to come by and I dont believe there have been any statistical trends of people consuming more shrooms over recent years. I have experience with the stuff, Im obviously open minded to it, but the idea of people being able to dose this stuff wrong is scary. Hell, its so easy to get a obscene amount of edibles(weed) in Colorado and there is very little information within stores to warn people how potent a 500 MG bottle of edibles can really be.
