I don't understand how the can projectile even works When the can explodes, it damages everyone caught in the blast, even me. If you touch the can after I've launched it, the can explodes, and vice versa. The can has what you can think of as "HP" that depletes over time or when the can is pinged. It takes 8 pings to completely deplete a freshly spawned can's HP. The can will overheat after it loses all HP, after which time it will blow up as soon as you touch it, even if it's stationary. If I shield over the can and you hit the can, it will hit my shield and blow up, damaging you but not me. Back air, up tilt, and up air will all turn the can around. You can assume that if I hit can with fair or bair, the can will ping in the direction I am facing. If the can is hit by uair or utilt, it will go behind me. This means that assuming I'm facing away from the stage, hitting can with uair or RAR bair (although I prefer attack cancel bair) will cause the can to ping back towards the stage. When the can is directly on the ledge, pinging it will hit any vulnerable player hanging on ledge. If a ping hitbox (such as those created by neutral B, side B, or any of DHD's smash attacks) hits the can immediately before another attack does, the knockback of that non-ping attack will be negated and stored in the can. Any non-projectile attack that subsequently hits the can will cause the can to be launched with the angle and knockback stored in the can. Because DHD's smash attacks all have a ping hitbox followed by a normal hitbox, those smash attacks will always store knockback. Fun facts: I can't ping can while clay pigeon is out, but I can ping it almost any other time. If you hit the can with a projectile, it will become "anchor can" and not move if hit by any other projectiles. Can is frame one, and can trade out of any untrue combo. |
