Sensible, moderate Republicans are being browbeaten into ineffectual obscurity by the hard-right MAGA minority, and anyone with any semblance of a spine to speak out against it is leaving politics (Joe Walsh, Mitt Romney).

The Republicans current course of allowing an extremist minority to steer the ship is not sustainable long-term. There will be a reckoning. Barring the Democrats committing a massive failure of policy or governance, Republicans are going to see diminishing returns as more and more moderate voters turn away from the Trump experiment.

I heard something about Remedy retconning their games to be in one universe. So, Max Payne, Alan Wake, Control and I think Quantum Break and their upcoming Vanguard all exist together. Not sure about other titles in their catalog. Control is pretty awesome imho.

It's Shams al-Ma'arif al-Kubra. It's the real life basis for the mythical book Al Azif, which was the inspiration for the Necronomicon. Outside of old school traditionalist Sufis, it's pretty much treated like the most evil thing ever written. Like most of this stuff though, there's a whole lot of misunderstanding around it. It's not so much Al-Buni's writings that attract the ire, it's everything that was added throughout the 17th-century. Even that stuff seems pretty tame though. I've seen way scarier books before.

Rational adults should be as afraid of books as they are afraid of bogeymen and fairytale monsters.

Seek assistance from universities which offer courses in the vein of Egyptology, etc, or from online forums, organizations, or clubs where enthusiasts of this sort of thing meet and collaborate. You should be able to find people who aren't superstitious kooks who are willing to help you.

Nonsense. Knowledge-seekers and scholars don't always give in to superstition. Plenty of scholars would be willing to help you if the tome you're looking to have transcribed has any scholarly merit.

Call or email universities which offer courses in Arabic language studies, courses in Egyptology, and/or or studies of Egypt in the Middle Ages. Yale, UCLA, NYU, etc. They may not be able to help you directly, but they may be able to point you in the direction of someone who can.

Don't thumb your nose at "amateur" scholars, either. There are teeming masses of curious people all over the world and on the internet. You may find fellow enthusiasts who can be surprisingly resourceful.

The opening sequence bored me to tears. I've heard it gets better after the prologue and I intend to return to it eventually, but that introduction in 15 is a slog.

Don't plan on buying 16 until I finish 15. So, not for quite a while.

The LGBTQ "agenda" is "let people be gay/trans if they want to be." That's literally it. That's all it's ever been. That's not an "agenda," that's basic godddamn human respect, and if you've got a problem with promoting that (a strategy that has been exhaustively proven to yield better mental and physical health results for all involved parties), you can fuck right off, because that nonsense only hurts people for no reason.

To expand on this, "let people be gay/trans if they want to be" includes, but is not limited to, "grant LGBTQ+ people the rights and privileges" that are due to every other freedom-loving American citizen. The right to vote. The right to make decisions about their health and well-being. The right to marry. The right to co-sign a loan. Etc etc etc.

I find it surprising, if not a bit discouraging, that someone who claims to be bisexual could be so flippant about others fighting for those rights that the poster could potentially be denied in areas where legislators are actively seeking to remove or restrict the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.

How someone advocating for the poster's basic right to exist in a free society could be seen as "annoying" or "exhausting" by the very person who could stand to benefit from said advocacy is, frankly speaking, pathetic.

Those are good to have but if you're in a pinch electrical tape will work. If you do get a cap it's not a bad idea to use the cap and then electrical tape around the cap and wire to hold it together.
