The fences change daily. I'm fairly certain I have every fence, because I haven't had a new one show up in nearly a month...but prior to that, I was getting new ones every day.

They do? Every other time I checked they had been the same two fences until now. That's an amazing coincidence if so.

So I just realized that the fences in the Nook Miles exchange changed this month. Does that mean there was a different set in March? Because I'm pretty sure I didn't buy it.

That might explain why I don't seem to have the same fences as other people have. I thought it was just a randomly gotten DIY. This actually really bums me out since I've wanted better fences for a while now.

I've learned it as I've spent so much time crafting bait for the blue marlin lately.

Did you know you don't have to mash the 'A' button to speed up the crafting animation? Just tapping it twice will do. I've optimized crafting like a speedrunner just to get bait as efficiently as possible.

Oh shit, I got the Cast Master achievement and I wasn't even trying for it.

The whole thing about having to do it without missing a catch bugged me so much that I decided to not care about it. I figured I'd either get it eventually, or just devote a day towards getting it a year from now when I had nothing else left to do in the game. I didn't want to be nervous about breaking the streak and having that ruin my enjoyment of the game. ...and now I don't have to!

What's funny is that I thought for sure my streak was broken earlier today, because someone visited my island while I was fishing, and the when the cutscene came up it scared the fish away. But apparently that doesn't count as a miss, which is the right call considering how awful the visitor system works.

Yeah, from what Ive seen he just picks two species of flower randomly, so they might be ones your store already carries or they might be stuff you wouldnt have access to on your own island for months.

What flowers are in your store is based on what month of the year it is, what month your save file was created, and the birth month of the Resident Representative. This is why Cosmos, Roses, Mums, and Lilies are seemingly more rare right now, the only way a store can carry them in the Northern Hemisphere right now is if the Reps birth month is later in the year.

I've noticed the solar panels don't reflect light in the rain. They did at night, which confused me at first, but then I realized that it probably was because the moon was full (I think?). Neat little detail.

I only got my first Lazy villager yesterday, so I've been missing out on these fun conversations.

Meanwhile if I hear about how far away the moon is I'm gonna blow my brains out. There definitely seems to be way too few different kinds of dialogue in this game compared to the previous ones. And everyone just kind of sounds the same no matter what their personality; ditzy but cheerful.

San Andreas is probably the best game when taken as it was, although it's held back these days by how dated it is. GTAV makes a lot of missteps, but overall is a solid game that benefits from the refinements in gameplay and design the series gained up to that point, if lacking a bit in structure.

GTA Online is hot garbage though. Unless you're messing about with a group of friends then it's amazing. ...until some dumbass makes the decision to start up a heist and all the goodwill goes right back out the window.

Villagers do move to other islands on their own though, if you've connected with someone else. When Pudge moved out he went to my friend's island, and I only visited her twice at that point I think.

I understand the feeling. Bob was my favourite in my GCN town and I was never able to obtain him again until this game. Im pretty sure I have Cookies amiibo card so I might be able to help you out by scanning her into my town, then replacing her with a different card when you have an empty house.

Unfortunately my villager situation is getting kind of messed up. Here's what I'm working on.

I have 9 out the 10 villagers (I should be moving in the 10th today). Ideally I want one of each personality, but that only leaves two spares. Here's who I have so far:

Sisterly - Agnes
Normal - Savannah, Tia
Peppy - Agent S, Anabelle
Snooty - Olivia
Smug - O'Hare
Jock- Kid Cat, Teddy

All I need is Cranky and Lazy. I'm moving in Ozzie today for Lazy, but I have no idea who to boot out for Cranky.

First of all I don't really have any Cranky villager amiibo I like (maybe Knox?), so I'd have to go hunting for one randomly, which could take a while. And I'd have to kick out one of the doubles to make room. Tia, Kid Cat and Agent S were invited by amiibo, and they're great. And I like Savannah and Anabelle since they're rare species. Teddy is basically the one on the chopping block, but I kind of feel bad since he was a day 1 villager and even if I don't like him much I'm kind of sentimentally attached. He actually tried to move out a couple of days ago, but I panicked and told him to stay because I wasn't sure if I was ready to let go. So I should kick him out, right?

Well, I also want to use my Cherry amiibo because I really like the way she looks. She seems kind of goth-y, and I had been looking for a villager who would fit well with some spooky style decorations I wanted to put up. She's sisterly, so I can just replace Agnes with her, especially since I don't care for Agnes, right? But Agnes is also a day 1 villager, and I just don't know if I should get rid of both of my Day 1s... It seems like I should keep at least one for the rest of the game. I want too many villagers.

The options I'm bringing up for now are:

• Kick out Teddy, move in a Cranky villager, and forget Cherry
• Kick out Teddy and Agnes, and say goodbye to the town's oldest villagers.
• Kick out Teddy and Anabelle, who I suppose is the next most disposable, although I like the fact that she's a pangolin.

Anyone have any opinions? Besides "I've put way too much thought into this"?

For some reason over the past few days I've gotten super-inspired over how I want my island to be like and I've been spending hours planning and decorating everything. The AC bug finally bit me hard. But now that I've got KK, the only goals left for me are the ones I make for myself, so I've gotten super hard into town planning...
