I think 2001 is the year I made my first gaming forum account... on GamePro lol. I was also probably on Neopets and AOL. I don't know what else, back then I had dial-up and a shared computer so getting any internet time was rare

I didn't know that saving itself was bad for your batteries.

On the other hand, I have NES Zelda games from over 20 years ago that still save on the original battery so I guess I never worried about it too much

It's good, but I thought the levels were way too long and I didn't like how so many seemed to be secret levels. I enjoy a good secret exit/collectibles but I don't want to feel like so much of the actual game is locked behind them. And I think these two problems exacerbate each other, revisiting a level to find the secrets wouldn't be such a complaint if they weren't so fucking huge.

If you like your games to have a lot of "content" then I guess it's great as far as 2D platformers go, but I think I value overall pacing more.

Somehow I beat this game as a kid but it was hard as fuck and I don't know if I could do it now. I mean I probably could if I really wanted to put the effort in but I don't

I hate the endgame boss rushes in Mega Man games. They're just a boring way to artificially increase the length. It's not as bad when the final boss is a separate level, but sometimes that immediately follows the boss rush and if you get a game over you have to fight all eight again.

Stealth sections in Zelda games. They aren't the worst thing but they can be annoying and I don't see what they add. Ever since like OoT they decided pretty much every Zelda needs a stealth part for some reason.

People can spend their money however they want, I just thought it was really pathetic when he portrayed not getting to go to E3 as some big misfortune in his life and a bunch of people joined the pity party

I'm opening myself up to a bunch of shaming for this, but this made me think of when someone made a GoFundMe or whatever for quigonzel to go to E3. He had some sob story about how it really "meant a lot to me to go there" or whatever. Boo fucking hoo! It's a gaming website, everyone here wanted to go to E3 at some point.

I think season 14 or 15 is the point where I first started to think, hmm this might be bad, though in hindsight I also see why a lot of season 11ish eps are bad. It was 17 or 18 where I stopped watching and I've seen like two new eps since.

Kinda crazy that what I once thought of as the bad "new" seasons are not even the midway point now. The thought that season 15 could be considered old/early Simpsons now and that there was an entire era after that is depressing

Tbf Trump teased some leftist ideas, and generally those are much more popular when you detach them from democrat politicians or scary buzzwords like socialism. I think he drew some people in with that but he obviously didn't go far enough with them, even just as ideas, let alone in practice. He just throws shit at the walls to see what sticks and it works for his base cause they can just cherry pick it for whatever context they're in.

There's no one reason. Some people are super racist, or just want to own the libs. Some people are lifelong Republicans and even if they were more "traditional" the concept of turning somewhere else was unfathomable. Some people like chaos and hope it'll be an agent for change. Some people are susceptible to group dynamics and assume that if something has a big following it must be worth joining too. Some people don't want to admit they're wrong or feel like they've invested so much time and energy into a lie so they just dig the hole even deeper. Or all of the above.

I got N Sane a while ago but gave up on Crash 1 and haven't played any of it since. It wasn't necessarily too hard to beat but the precision jumping stuff really annoyed me and it just didn't seem worth it enough, you know?

Precision jumps in 3D platformers don't generally work that well IMO and when they do, there are plenty of far more interesting games that have them

There are way too many shitty looking oversized vehicles out there. Large trucks and SUVs just make things less safe for anyone near them. Terrible visibility at close distances so it is easier for them to accidentally hit someone or something.

Yeah I hate this. Feels like everyone is in some kind of competition to be the king of the road too so they just keep getting bigger and bigger and if you want to drive a smaller, more practical commuter car you either gotta live with it or join them and keep exacerbating the problem

I guess as far as a "resolution" the main thing is to not drink soda.

I have other goals but idk if that's really the same thing
