I heard the explosion from my house. The first one happened after midnight and my dog started barking like crazy. I was already in bed kinda half asleep and assumed it was thunder because it started raining a little bit afterwards. Then I woke up and my Facebook was blowing up with accounts of the plant explosion.

I heard the second explosion this afternoon on my way home from work. They gave a mandatory evac order for the surrounding towns and the northeastern part of my town but no word yet on an evac order for us.

Every movie Adam Sandler has ever been in is garbage.

It may only apply to Los Angeles area residents from the 1980s but this immediately came to mind...

That said, upon rewatching after MANY years in absence from it I've come to realize it's not annoying, it's AWESOME

One of the things that bugs me about RDR2 is cooking, to cook an animal you have to either a, skin it, or b, pick it up to then drop it on the ground to skin it, I don't know why you have no cooking option with an animal on the ground so you have to pick it up to drop it again.

I try to give full size candy bars out, but in the 15 years I've lived here there have been a total of 3 kids doing the trick-or-treat thing.

The moment when Niko finally catches up to the guy he wanted revenge on for several years was really damn good. Especially for a video game.

Watch out for that vicious bounty hunter Boba Fett, Luke! Did I ever tell you l fought his dad? He was hired to assassinate a senator me and your father were guarding. We kept bringing her around open windows and public areas in order to draw the would-be assassin out because we knew he had too much pride to just shoot her from long range. He had used his payment to hire another bounty hunter to kill the senator for him while he sent us on a wild bantha chase. Also the 2nd assassin used her payment to buy a robot to assassinate the senator for her. Did I mention the 2nd assassin was a shapeshifter? She could have been a good friend in disguise and just shot the senator for all we knew! Then the robot used its payment to buy poisonous bugs to release into the senators room while she slept after lasering a hole through the window. It could have just lasered her too after that because we we weren't watching her at all but it already bought the bugs. So we sense the hostile life forms not the robot in the room and rush in and save the senator in the nick of time!

Then I jumped out the window to chase the robot back to its owner! Luckily it didn't have a self destruct function. Then we found the 2nd assassin and chased her across the planet and caught her when she tried to kill us instead of shapeshifting and escaping. But to our surprise Jango Fett was watching the whole thing instead of going to kill the senator while we were away chasing the bugs chasing the robot chasing the shapeshifter. He shot her with a poisonous dart instead of sniper blaster and only her instead of shooting all of us or blowing all of us with a rocket or something then he escaped with his tiny jetpack.

Luckily for the senator my good friend Dexterr Jettster owned a 50s dinner on Courscant that had Republic secrets on the menu along with cheeseburgers and malt shakes. We found the assassin and Mace Window killed him later right in front of Boba. And he was a good friend.

My favorite thing about video games is that you almost always play the "good guy" but end up murdering like a small country's population worth of people and it's just no biggie. Even the most hardcore ideologically motivated psychopath would start to get worn down by like his 300th intensely personal killing.

This dude thinks trickle down economics works for movies/art! No studio has ever financed a small indie project because their dumb sequel/spinoff/superhero movie did well at the box office. Laughable.

Hollywood is at its absolute rock bottom in terms of filmmaking. Movies don't even follow the basic fundamentals of visual storytelling and/or functional drama. They prefer momentum-killing expository scenes, one-note characters, and plastic CGI nonsense, all filmed on hideous digital cameras.

Let's not forget that they trained audiences to like crap like this though. Audiences sneer at "boring dramas" and "Oscar bait" (whatever that is) and would rather watch those at home, if at all. Guess what? The movies make less or no movie when you do that! Only going to the theater for soulless corporate franchise tentpole garbage that you were tricked into seeing because of $100m advertising budgets is going to crush "small" movies and eradicate them from movie theaters and major streaming services by the time we're dead.

Of course, there are a handful of indie and foreign movies that are great every year but Hollywood is bottoming out in terms of originality and talent. There is literally no debating this if you have actually watched movies from all countries, time periods, genres, styles, budgets, etc.
